Petra Schmitt
Petra Schmitt (born 24 October 1971) is a Hungarian former professional tennis player. Biography Tennis career Schmitt started playing professional tournaments in 1987 and featured mostly on the ITF circuit, reaching a best ranking of 419 in the world. She was a WTA Tour doubles quarter-finalist at the 1989 Belgian Open and made the singles main draw of the 1990 Athens Trophy. In 1991 she played in three Federation Cup ties for Hungary, which included a match against Magdalena Maleeva. Finishing up on the tour in 1991, Schmitt then went to the United States to play college tennis for the USC Trojans, where she twice earned All-American honours. Tennis is a racket sport that is played either individually against a single opponent ( singles) or between two teams of two players each ( doubles). Each player uses a tennis racket that is strung with cord to strike a hollow rubber ball covered with felt over or around a net and into the opponent's court. Catrin Jexell (born 17 February 1963) is a former professional tennis player from Sweden. Biography Originally from Halmstad, Jexell played professionally in the 1980s. She first competed for the Sweden Fed Cup team in 1982 and featured in a total of seven ties. Her only WTA title came at the 1982 Hong Kong Open. Pál Schmitt
Pál Schmitt (; born 1942) is a Hungarian Olympic fencer and politician who served as President of Hungary from 2010 until his resignation in 2012, following his academic misconduct controversy. Schmitt was a successful fencer in his youth, winning two gold medals at the Summer Olympics. Later, he served as an ambassador during the 1990s and was a Vice-President of the European Parliament from 2009 to 2010. After briefly serving as Speaker of the National Assembly of Hungary in 2010, Schmitt was elected President of Hungary in a 263 to 59 vote in the National Assembly. He was sworn in as president on 2010.
