People's Voice (Bulgaria)
People's Voice ( bg, Глас народен) is a political party in Bulgaria, founded by Svetoslav Vitkov in 2013. History The party was established in 2013 by popular Bulgarian punk and ska musician Svetoslav Vitkov just prior to the parliamentary election and achieved relative success by winning 1,34% of the total vote. This result placed it as the 13th largest party in the country, with just a few weeks of campaigning and little to no financial support. The party became the first one to open its list for the European Parliament election in 2014 to all people willing to participate. Following a series of events, including public debates on European policies, a lie-detector test, and Facebook voting, the party announced its 17 candidates, with most of them having never been involved in politics before. Svetoslav Vitkov
Svetoslav Emilov Vitkov ( bg, Светослав Емилов Витков ; born 26 January 1971) is a Bulgarian singer and politician, best known for his work with Hipodil. In 2013, he founded the political party People's Voice (Political Party), People's Voice. History Svetoslav Emilov Vitkov was born on 26 January 1971 to Emil Vitkov and Nadezhda (''née'' Kukova). His family from his mother's side are Bulgarians (Macedonia), Bulgarians from the region of Macedonia. Vitkov has one brother named Nikolay. He was first involved in karate in 1985, and has a black belt. He has taught karate since 1995. Vitkov is a graduate of the Sofia High School of Mathematics. In 1991, he joined the then-fledgling punk rock band Hipodil to replace its previous singer, Miroslav Telalov, who left the band to serve in the Bulgarian army. Bulgarian Language
Bulgarian (, ; bg, label=none, български, bălgarski, ) is an Eastern South Slavic language spoken in Southeastern Europe, primarily in Bulgaria. It is the language of the Bulgarians. Along with the closely related Macedonian language (collectively forming the East South Slavic languages), it is a member of the Balkan sprachbund and South Slavic dialect continuum of the Indo-European language family. The two languages have several characteristics that set them apart from all other Slavic languages, including the elimination of case declension, the development of a suffixed definite article, and the lack of a verb infinitive. General elections were held in Bulgaria on 14 November 2021 to elect both the President and the National Assembly. They were the country's third parliamentary elections in 2021, with no party able to form a government after the elections in April and July. The Reformist Bloc ( bg, Реформаторски блок, Reformatorski blok) was a centre-right electoral alliance in Bulgaria. History The coalition agreement to form the alliance was signed on 20 December 2013. The five parties that signed the agreement were: Democrats for a Strong Bulgaria, Bulgaria for Citizens Movement, Union of Democratic Forces, People's Party Freedom and Dignity, and the Bulgarian Agrarian National Union.
