Reformist Bloc
The Reformist Bloc ( bg, Реформаторски блок, Reformatorski blok) was a centre-right electoral alliance in Bulgaria. History The coalition agreement to form the alliance was signed on 20 December 2013. The five parties that signed the agreement were: Democrats for a Strong Bulgaria, Bulgaria for Citizens Movement, Union of Democratic Forces, People's Party Freedom and Dignity, and the Bulgarian Agrarian National Union. At the time of signing the coalition the parties had one seat in the European Parliament but none in the National Assembly. In early August 2014 spokesperson Radan Kanev resigned because of what he said was a lack of unity within the alliance: "The image of a united multi-party coalition was replaced by an image of a traditional coalition with many and often conflicting interests." Radan Kanev
Radan Milenov Kanev ( bg, Радан Миленов Кънев) (born 30 September 1975) is a Bulgarian politician who was elected as a Member of the European Parliament from Bulgaria in the 2019 European Parliament election. He used to be one of the leading members of the Reformist Bloc. Biography Kanev was born in Sofia, but his family's roots are from Varna. He graduated from the Lycée Français de Sofia, subsequently completing his legal studies at Sofia University. In the 1990s, Kanev was chairman of the youth organization of the Bulgarian Red Cross. Kanev is known as a prominent political blogger and his active involvement in politics began in 2004. He joined DSB in 2007 and became the party's leader on 23 June 2013. Kanev has been labeled as Ivan Kostov's successor. After DSB could not make the 4% bar for entry into Parliament during the 2017 elections, Kanev resigned as a leader of the party. The National Assembly ( bg, Народно събрание, Narodno sabranie) is the unicameral parliament and legislative body of the Republic of Bulgaria. The National Assembly was established in 1879 with the Tarnovo Constitution. Ordinary National Assembly The National Assembly consists of 240 members elected for a four-year term, elected by proportional representation in multi-seat constituencies. Political parties must garner a minimum of 4% of the national vote in order to enter the Assembly. Bulgaria has a multi-party system. People's, branded as ''People's Viennaline'' until May 2018, and legally ''Altenrhein Luftfahrt GmbH'', is an Austrian airline headquartered in Vienna. It operates scheduled and charter passenger flights mainly from its base at St. Gallen-Altenrhein Airport in Switzerland. An electoral alliance (also known as a bipartisan electoral agreement, electoral pact, electoral agreement, electoral coalition or electoral bloc) is an association of political party, political parties or individuals that exists solely to stand in elections. Each of the parties within the alliance has its own policy, policies but chooses temporarily to put aside differences in favour of common goals and ideology in order to pool their voters' support and get elected. European Parliament
The European Parliament (EP) is one of the legislative bodies of the European Union and one of its seven institutions. Together with the Council of the European Union (known as the Council and informally as the Council of Ministers), it adopts European legislation, following a proposal by the European Commission.
