Hazaribagh Sadar Subdivision
Hazaribagh Sadar subdivision is an administrative subdivision of the Hazaribagh district in the North Chotanagpur division in the state of Jharkhand, India. History During the period of Muslim rule, the thickly forested plateau area was ruled by big estates such as Ramgarh, Kunda, Kendi, Chai and Kharagdiha. With the East India Company acquiring the ''diwani'' of Bengal, Bihar and Odisha in 1765, it derived the right to collect revenue from the estates of Ramgarh, Kharagdiha, Kendi and Kunda. After the Kol uprising in 1831, the British changed the administrative structure of the area. The parganas of Ramgarh, Kharagdiha, Kendi and Kunda were made a part of the South West Frontier Agency and formed into a division named Hazaribagh with Hazaribagh as the administrative headquarter. Hazaribagh is a city and a municipal corporation in Hazaribagh district in the Indian state of Jharkhand. It is the divisional headquarters of North Chotanagpur division. It is considered as a health resort and is also popular for Hazaribagh Wildlife Sanctuary ( from city). It is represented in the Indian Lok Sabha by its Member of Parliament Jayant Sinha. Katkamsandi is a community development block (CD block) that forms an administrative division in the Hazaribagh Sadar subdivision of Hazaribagh district in the Indian state of Jharkhand. Chharwa is a village in the Katkamsandi CD block in the Hazaribagh Sadar subdivision of the Hazaribagh district in the Indian state of Jharkhand. Geography Location Chharwa is located at . Chharwa Dam Chharwa Dam, constructed in 1954, is the life line of the Hazaribagh town water supply system.
