Pax (2011 Film)
''Pax'' is a 2011 Norwegian-Swedish film directed by Annette Sjursen. It was released on March 18, 2011. The film stars many well known Norwegian actors, but was not well received by critics and was considered a flop. Plot An engine of a Boeing 737 explodes midway during a flight from Stockholm, Sweden, to Oslo, Norway. Many on board thought the end was near, but for some, it was just a beginning. During the flight, we follow seven people and one heart, on its way from one person to the other. All seven people have something that they are fleeing from. But when the heavy airplane body falls to the ground, they imagine their lives in a secondary perspective. Reception The film had a disastrous opening weekend with many critics asking what went wrong? In a review for Verdens Gang, Jon Selås said "there is no seriousness or ambition in 'Pax'." Lars Saabye Christensen (born 21 September 1953 in Oslo) is a Norwegian/Danish author. Saabye Christensen was raised in the Skillebekk neighbourhood of Oslo, but lived for many years in Sortland in northern Norway; both places play a major role in his work. He lives in Blindern, the university district of Oslo. ''Verdens Gang'' ("The course of the world"), generally known under the abbreviation ''VG'', is a Norwegian tabloid newspaper. ''Dagsavisen'' is a daily newspaper published in Oslo, Norway. The former party organ of the Norwegian Labour Party, the ties loosened over time from 1975 to 1999. It has borne several names, and was called ''Arbeiderbladet'' from 1923 to 1997. Eirik Hoff Lysholm is editor-in-chief. The newspaper depends on economic support from the Norwegian Government. History ''Dagsavisen'' was established by Christian Holtermann Knudsen in 1884 under the name ''Vort Arbeide'' ('Our Work' in archaic Riksmål), and was affiliated with the trade union center ''Fagforeningernes Centralkomité''. NRK P3 is a nationwide digital radio channel operated by the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation (NRK). It was established as NRK's third radio channel in 1993, and was the result of the NRK radio channel reform initiated in 1992 by radio director Tor Fuglevik. NRK P3 focuses on youth culture: principally music, together with humour, entertainment, and health education. Oslo
Oslo ( , , or ; sma, Oslove) is the capital and most populous city of Norway. It constitutes both a county and a municipality. The municipality of Oslo had a population of in 2022, while the city's greater urban area had a population of in 2019, and the metropolitan area had an estimated population of in 2021. During the Viking Age the area was part of Viken.
