Pauline van Dongen (born 1986) is a Dutch fashion designer specialised in wearable technology. Life In 2010, van Dongen established her own design studio, Pauline van Dongen Studio. The studio, located in Arnhem (the Netherlands) has collaborated with several high-profile companies such as the electronics giant Philips, to create light-up sportswear. By collaborating with technology companies, Pauline van Dongen Studio aims to use technology to add value to fashion. Het Nieuwe Instituut (HNI, English: The New Institute) is a cultural centre in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. It focuses on architecture, design, and digital culture. HNI is in a building designed by Jo Coenen at Museumpark 25 in the centre of Rotterdam, adjacent to the Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen. Marjan van Aubel (born in 1985) is a Dutch solar designer based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Education Van Aubel graduated from the Gerrit Rietveld Academy with a BA DesignLAB in 2009, and in 2012 gained an MA in Design Products from the Royal College of Art in London. Career and awards Most of van Aubel's work involves incorporating solar cells into furniture, windows, and other objects. She has also designed a cover to maximize the surface area and thus the yield of a solar panel.
