Dr. Paul Wengert (born November 18, 1952 in Ellwangen) was the mayor of Füssen (1990-2002). From 2002-2008 he was the Mayor of Augsburg in the state of Bavaria in Germany. Ellwangen an der Jagst, officially Ellwangen (Jagst), in common use simply Ellwangen () is a town in the district of Ostalbkreis in the east of Baden-Württemberg in Germany. It is situated about north of Aalen. Ellwangen has 25,000 inhabitants. The Landtag of Bavaria, officially known in English as the Bavarian State Parliament, is the unicameral legislature of the German state of Bavaria.
