Paul R. House
Paul R. House (born 1958) is an American Old Testament scholar, author, and seminary professor who served as 2012 president of the Evangelical Theological Society. He is professor of divinity at Beeson Divinity School, an interdenominational seminary in Birmingham, Alabama. Biography He earned his B.A. from Southwest Baptist University, his M.A. from the University of Missouri, and his M.Div. and Ph.D. from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. House taught at Taylor University for ten years before joining the faculty at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1996, where he was appointed by Albert Mohler as the first editor of '' The Southern Baptist Journal of Theology''. The Old Testament (often abbreviated OT) is the first division of the Christian biblical canon, which is based primarily upon the 24 books of the Hebrew Bible or Tanakh, a collection of ancient religious Hebrew writings by the Israelites. Trinity School for Ministry (TSM), formerly known as Trinity Episcopal School for Ministry, is an Anglican seminary in Ambridge, Pennsylvania. It is generally associated with low church, evangelical Anglicanism. History In the mid 1970s, several prominent evangelical-leaning Episcopal clergy and lay leaders became disillusioned with what they considered the liberal theology and "theological relativism" of the existing Episcopal seminaries. The Master's Seminary (TMS) is the graduate seminary division of The Master's University and Seminary and is located on the campus of Grace Community Church in Sun Valley, California. It is accredited by the WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC). History The Master's Seminary was founded in the fall of 1986 under the leadership of John F. MacArthur. David Allan Hubbard (April 8, 1928–June 7, 1996) was the 3rd President of Fuller Theological Seminary and an Old Testament scholar. Under his leadership, Fuller became the world's largest multidenominational seminary and an important center for mainstream evangelical thought.
