Eerste Divisie
The Eerste Divisie (, en, First Division) is the second-highest tier of football in the Netherlands. It is linked with the top-level Eredivisie and with the third-level Tweede Divisie via promotion/relegation systems. It is also known as the Keuken Kampioen Divisie due to sponsorship, while previously it was known as Jupiler League for the same reason. History The Eerste Divisie consists of 20 clubs, who play each other in a double round-robin league, with each club playing the other club home and away. Each club plays every other club once in the first half of the season before the league takes a winter break around the Christmas and New Year's holiday season. The second half of the season sees the same fixtures as the first half, with the stadiums changed, although the two halves are not played in the same order. At the end of each season, the champion and the runner-up of the Eerste Divisie are automatically promoted to the Eredivisie. Seven other clubs enter the ''Nacom ...

2010–11 Eerste Divisie
The Eerste Divisie 2010–11 was the 55th season of the Eerste Divisie since its establishment in 1956. The previous year's winners were De Graafschap, who were replaced by last-placed 2009–10 Eredivisie club RKC Waalwijk. The league featured 18 teams, two fewer than its previous season, following the exclusion of HFC Haarlem from professional football and the relegation of FC Oss to the 2010–11 Topklasse. On May 12, 2010 BV Veendam was declared bankrupt due to financial troubles, with FC Oss consequently expected to be readmitted into Eerste Divisie to replace it; however, the verdict was overturned later in June, and the club was thus allowed to play in the season with a reduced budget. From this season on, the last-placed team would be relegated to the Topklasse, and replaced by the winner of the newly established third tier. This season also featured the old Almere-based club FC Omniworld under the new denomination of Almere City FC. Teams overview Venues Lea ...

League Cup
In several sports, most prominently association football, a league cup or secondary cup generally signifies a cup competition for which entry is restricted only to teams in a particular league. The first national association football tournament to be called "League Cup" was held in Scotland in 1946–47 and was entitled the Scottish League Cup. However, in the Republic of Ireland the now-defunct League of Ireland Shield was the first national league-only tournament of its kind (played first in 1921); this was subsequently replaced by the League of Ireland Cup in 1983. The creation of a league cup marked the difference from the association cup or primary cup, which is generally also open to teams from multiple leagues, often as far down as regional amateur leagues, and who are also members of the country's football association. League cups are less prevalent than primary cups. The creation of a tournament of this kind exclusively for the top national-level league teams, in additi ...

A hat-trick or hat trick is the achievement of a generally positive feat three times in a match, or another achievement based on the number three. Origin The term first appeared in 1858 in cricket, to describe H. H. Stephenson taking three wickets with three consecutive deliveries.
