Paul Edwards (boxer)
Paul Edwards (born 1 October 1986) is an English former professional boxer who competed from 2008 to 2012. He held the British flyweight title from 2010 to 2011, and challenged once for the Commonwealth flyweight title in 2012. Amateur career Edwards won the 2006 Amateur Boxing Association British flyweight title, when boxing out of the Salisbury ABC. Professional career Edwards made his professional debut on 19 July 2008, winning a four-round points decision over Robert Palmer at the Olympia in Liverpool. He won his next 6 fights before facing Shinny Bayaar for the British flyweight title on 15 Dec 2010, at the Kings Hall, Belfast, Northern Ireland. Edwards won by first round technical knockout (TKO) after Bayaar suffered a cut above his left eye. Professional boxing, or prizefighting, is regulated, sanctioned boxing. Professional boxing bouts are fought for a purse bid, purse that is divided between the boxers as determined by contract. Owlerton () is a suburb of the city of Sheffield, it lies northwest of the city centre near the confluence of the River Don and River Loxley. Owlerton was formerly a small rural village with its origins in the Early Middle Ages; it became part of Sheffield in the early 1900s as the city expanded. Andy Bell (boxer)
Andrew Langley (born 16 July 1985), better known as Andy Bell, is a British former professional boxer who competed from 2004 to 2010. He held the British super flyweight title in 2008. Early Professional Career Andy begun his professional career in November 2004 with a 5th round stoppage over journeyman Steve Gethin at the Mansfield Leisure Center. His next two fights were also held at the same venue and also ended with victories giving him a record of 3-0. A change of venue however coincided with his first loss as a professional losing to fellow prospect Wayne Bloy at the Askern Miners Welfare Club in Askern. A further loss followed the following month in May 2006 when he lost to former victim Steve Gethin, this time it was Bell who ended up getting stopped in the 2nd round.
