Paul Delaney (basketball)
Paul Lewis Delaney III (born August 30, 1986) is an American professional basketball player for Elitzur Eito Ashkelon of the Israeli National League. He played college basketball for the University of Alabama at Birmingham before playing professionally in Israel, Russia, Ukraine and France. Early life and college career Delaney attended Chamblee Charter High School in Chamblee, Georgia, where he averaged 21.5 points, 8.6 rebounds and 5.0 assists per contest as a senior. Delaney was rated as the 43rd best player in the Southeast according to Hoop Scoop magazine, earning Nike All-American honors in 2003. Delaney played college basketball for the University of Alabama at Birmingham Blazers, where he averaged 16 points, 4.4 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 2.1 steals per game as a senior. Hapoel Holon Basketball Club ( he, מועדון הכדורסל הפועל חולון), known for sponsorship reasons as Hapoel Atsmon Playgrounds Holon (), is a professional basketball club based in Holon, Israel. Performance Index Rating (PIR) is a basketball mathematical statistical formula that is used by the Euroleague Basketball Company's first and second tier competitions, the EuroLeague and the EuroCup, as well as various European national domestic and regional leagues. It is a part of the Tendex basketball rating system. It is also variously referred to as Performance Index Ranking, Rating, Ranking, Evaluation, Valuation, and Efficiency. It is similar to, but not exactly the same as, the NBA's Efficiency (EFF) stat. The 2015–2016 Israeli Basketball Super League was the 62nd season of the Israeli Basketball Super League. The regular season started on October 11, 2015 and ended on March 6, 2016.
