Patryk Wojdyło
Patryk Wojdyło (born 15 March 1999) is a motorcycle speedway rider from Poland. Career Wojdyło started riding for Rzeszów in the 1.Liga of the Team Speedway Polish Championship, during the 2016 Polish speedway season. In 2018, he reached the final of the 2018 Individual Speedway Junior European Championship. He then rode for Wrocław in the Ekstraliga in 2018 and 2019, before moving on to Opole, Krosno and Rybnik respectively. He also rode for Smederna in Sweden and Fjelsted in Denmark. Wojdyło's biggest victory to date was when he won the Argentine International Championship in 2023. Later in July 2023, he signed for Peterborough Panthers in the British leagues and made his British debut during the SGB Premiership 2023. Jarosław
Jarosław (; , ; ; ) is a town in southeastern Poland, situated on the San (river), San River. The town had 35,475 inhabitants in 2023. It is the capital of Jarosław County in the Subcarpathian Voivodeship. History Jarosław is located in the territory of the old Polish tribe of the Lendians, which became part of the emerging Polish state under Mieszko I. Motorcycle speedway, usually referred to simply as speedway, is a motorcycle sport involving four and sometimes up to six riders competing over four clockwise, anti-clockwise laps of an oval circuit. The motorcycles are specialist machines that use only one gear and have no brakes. Racing takes place on a flat oval track usually consisting of soil, dirt, loosely packed shale, or crushed rock (mostly used in Australia and New Zealand). Competitors use this surface to slide their machines sideways, powersliding or broadsiding into the bends. On the straight sections of the track, the motorcycles reach speeds of up to . The 2023 Sports Insure SGB Premiership was the 88th season of the top tier of British speedway and the 6th known as the SGB Premiership. There was an increase of one team after the Leicester Lions opted to move up from the SGB Championship. Defending champions Belle Vue Aces topped the table, but were knocked out in the playoff semi-finals. Last year's runners-up Sheffield Tigers went on to win the title, beating Ipswich Witches in the Grand Final. It was the first time Sheffield had won a top flight British speedway championship. 2023 summary Seven clubs competed for the league championship, with Leicester Lions joining them from the division below. Each club raced against each other four times (home and away twice), meaning a total of 24 fixtures each.
