Pat Glover
Ernest Matthew "Pat" Glover (9 September 1910 – 9 September 1971) was a Welsh international association football, footballer who played as a centre forward. He played in the Football League for Grimsby Town F.C., Grimsby Town and Plymouth Argyle F.C., Plymouth Argyle, and was Cap (sport), capped seven times by the Wales national football team, Wales national team. Life and career Born in Swansea, Glover began playing football for The Forward Movement, a church group set up to support poor and working-class people. He joined Football League club Swansea City A.F.C., Swansea Town in 1928, but failed to make a league appearance before moving to Grimsby Town F.C., Grimsby Town the following year. Swansea

Football League First Division
The Football League First Division was a division of the Football League in England from 1888 until 2004. It was the top division in the English football league system from the season 1888–89 until 1991–92, a century in which the First Division's winning club became English men's football champions. The First Division contained between 12 and 24 clubs, playing each other home and away in a double round robin. The competition was based on two points for a win from 1888 until the increase to three points for a win in 1981.
