Parviz Boroumand
Parviz Boroumand Sharif ( fa, پرویز برومند شریف , born 30 May 1974, in Tehran) is an Iranian football goalkeeper who currently is head coach of Dore 98 F.C. in Iran 2nd division League. Club career Broumand previously played for IPL sides Esteghlal and Rah Ahan. Broumand was also formerly an Iranian national team player who was reserve goalkeeper in the 1998 FIFA World Cup squad. His most memorable performance was for Esteghlal FC against Persepolis FC in 2001 when he struck a Persepolis player Payan Rafat in the face starting one of the largest fights in the history of the rivalry. After this game Broumand and several players from both sides were handed suspensions, his being the largest at 18 months was eventually shortened. In 2007, he announced his retirement from football after finishing 2006–2007 season with Rah Ahan in Iran Pro League, but in 2012 he returned to professional football after six years absence in age of 38. Tehran
Tehran (; fa, تهران ) is the largest city in Tehran Province and the capital of Iran. Mehdi Pashazadeh ( fa, مهدی پاشازاده, born 27 December 1973) is an Iranian football coach and former player who played as a defender. He played for several clubs, including Esteghlal Tehran, Bayer Leverkusen (Germany), Fortuna Köln (Germany), Rapid Wien (Austria) and Sturm Graz (Austria). The 2012–13 Azadegan League was the 22nd season of the Azadegan League and 12th as the second highest division since its establishment in 1991. The season featured 19 teams from the 2011–12 Azadegan League, three new teams relegated from the 2011–12 Persian Gulf Cup: Shahin Bushehr, Shahrdari Tabriz and Mes Sarcheshmeh and four new teams promoted from the 2011–12 2nd Division: Esteghlal Ahvaz as champions, Gostaresh Foulad and Hafari Ahvaz. Azadegan League
The Azadegan League ( fa, ليگ آزادگان, ''Lig-e Âzâdegân''), also known as League 1 ( fa, لیگ یک, ''Lig-e Yek''), is the second highest division of professional football in Iran. It was the top-level football league in Iran from its foundation in 1991 until 2001, when the Persian Gulf Pro League was established. Each year, the top finishing teams in the Azadegan League are promoted to the Persian Gulf Pro League, and the lowest finishing teams are relegated to League 2. Since 2016, the league comprises 18 teams. The winner and the runner-up of the Azadegan League are automatically promoted to the Persian Gulf Pro League.
