Partnerships In Care
Partnerships in Care is a British provider of mental health and social care services. In June 2013, the Care Quality Commission failed the firm’s Annesley House hospital in Nottingham against all five standards of care. Patients said some staff were “brilliant” but others had “mocked and humiliated them”. Bullying on wards was a persistent problem at the service, which provides low secure and rehabilitation wards for female patients. In June 2014 Partnerships in Care was acquired by Acadia Healthcare in the US from Cinven (a British Private Equity company) and by June 2015 had added over 500 new beds. The company now has over 1800 beds. In May 2015 the company bought the mental health assets, consisting of 322 beds, from Care UK. Elysium Healthcare took over ten of its sites in 2017. Care Quality Commission
The Care Quality Commission (CQC) is an executive non-departmental public body of the Department of Health and Social Care of the United Kingdom. It was established in 2009 to regulate and inspect health and social care services in England. It was formed from three predecessor organisations: * the Healthcare Commission * the Commission for Social Care Inspection * the Mental Health Act Commission The CQC's stated role is to make sure that hospitals, care homes, dental and general practices and other care services in England provide people with safe, effective and high-quality care, and to encourage those providers to improve. Acadia Healthcare is an American provider of behavioral healthcare services. It operates a network of over 225 facilities across the United States and Puerto Rico. Overview The company was founded in January 2005, and is headquartered in Franklin, Tennessee. More recently, the company had signed a deal with the Florida healthcare system in order to expand its programs. Elysium Healthcare is a private provider of mental health services based in Borehamwood, UK. It was launched in December 2016 and combined sites from the portfolio of Partnerships in Care and The Priory Group when they were sold by Acadia Healthcare. It was owned by BC Partners. In October 2020 Elysium hired JP Morgan to advise on the sale of the business. The price tag was estimated to be circa £900 million. In December 2021 Ramsay Health Care UK bought the company for £775 million. Facilities It opened the 75 bed Wellesley Hospital at Chelston near Wellington, Somerset in 2017. It cost £20 million to build and will provide medium and low-secure treatment rehabilitation for patients with a broad range of mental health problems. Annesley
Annesley is a village and civil parish in the Ashfield district of Nottinghamshire, England, between Hucknall and Kirkby-in-Ashfield. At the 2011 census, it had a population of 1,162 (including Annesley Woodhouse to the west). Annesley Hall is a grade two listed building, once owned by the Chaworth-Musters family, which has connections to the Byron family of nearby Newstead Abbey. Annesley Old Church was mentioned by Lord Byron and D. H. Lawrence. There is also close by the earthworks of Annesley Castle. The Misk Hills lie to the south of the village. Annesley is part of Nottinghamshire's Hidden Valleys area. The parish is grouped with the neighbouring parish of Felley to elect a joint parish council.
