Part II Bistro Ladies Classic
The Part II Bistro Ladies Classic (formerly the Listowel Women's Classic and the Listowel Women's Cash Spiel) is a bonspiel that is part of the women's Ontario Curling Tour. The event is an annual event held in November and takes place at the Wingham Golf and Curling Club in Wingham, Ontario. Prior to 2018 it was held at the Listowel Curling Club in Listowel, Ontario. The first event was held in 2015, and was sponsored by Libro Credit Union. Bonspiel
A bonspiel is a curling tournament, consisting of several games, often held on a weekend. Until the 20th century most bonspiels were held outdoors, on a frozen freshwater loch. Today almost all bonspiels are held indoors on specially prepared artificial ice. Bonspiels in North America Canada Curling Canada, formerly known as the Canadian Curling Association, is the national governing body of the sport in Canada. While bonspiels originated in Scotland, the most notable competitive curling tournament in the world nowadays is the Canadian Men's Curling Championship, The Brier. Julie Hastings
Julie Hastings (born September 5, 1975 in North York as Julie Anderson) is a Canadian curler from Stouffville, Ontario. Career As a junior curler, Hastings won the 1992 Ontario Junior Mixed Championship playing third for skip Brad Savage. In 1994, she won the Toronto Curling Association Junior bonspiel. At just 19, Hastings made it to the final of the 1995 Ontario Scott Tournament of Hearts, losing to Alison Goring. On the Women's World Curling Tour circuit, Hastings' team has won the Brampton Bacardi Cashspiel in 2005, the Sun Life Invitational in 2007, the Brampton Curling Classic in 2009, the Stu Sells Toronto Tankard in 2010, the KW Fall Classic in 2009, 2011, 2013, and 2014, the Mount Lawn Gord Carroll Classic in 2013, and the Stroud Sleeman Cash Spiel in 2012 and 2014. Irene Schori
Irene Schori (born 4 December 1983) is a Swiss curler from Bremgarten. She currently plays third on Team Michèle Jäggi. Career Schori was named to the Swiss Olympic Team in 2010. She served as the alternate for Mirjam Ott's team in Vancouver. They just missed winning a medal, finishing fourth. Schori has participated in both the 2008 World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship, 2008 and the 2009 World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship, 2009 World Mixed Doubles Curling Championships with partner Toni Müller, and has taken gold at both of these championships. Schori and Müller were the heavy favorites to win in the 2010 World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship, but were eliminated by the China in an extra end in the quarterfinals. Jestyn Murphy
Jestyn Murphy (born September 21, 1996) is a Canadian curler from Mississauga, Ontario. She currently skips a team on the World Curling Tour. Career Youth Murphy won the Ontario Bantam championship in 2013, skipping a team out of the Listowel Curling Club. Murphy was a member of the University of Guelph women's curling team. In her first year, Murphy played third for the team, which was skipped by Katelyn Wasylkiw. The team played in the 2015 CIS/CCA Curling Championships, going 3-4. The next season, Murphy skipped the team, and led them to a bronze medal at the 2016 CIS/CCA Curling Championships. Murphy was named then Gryphon Athlete of the Week for the University of Guelph. Katelyn Wasylkiw
Katelyn Wasylkiw (; born 1993) is a Canadian curler from Kleinburg, Ontario. Career In 2010, she was third on Chantal Duhaime's team, before becoming lead on Caitlin Romain's team in 2011 and then lead on Jamie Sinclair's team in 2012. Then third on Jaimee Gardner's team in 2013, second on Jacqueline Harrison's team in 2014 and then second on Brenda Holloway's team in 2016. From 2017–present she has been skip of Team Wasylkiw which consists of her sister Lauren Wasylkiw as third, Stephanie Thompson as second and Erin Way, formerly Katrina Sale as lead. Cathy Auld
Catherine "Cathy" Auld (born December 3, 1971) is a Canadian curler from Toronto. She currently skips her own team out of Thornhill, Ontario. Career Auld was a longtime member of the Alison Goring rink. Auld played third for the team until 2006 when she was promoted to last rock thrower when Goring moved to throwing lead rocks. The team found success together with this lineup modification. At the 2007 Ontario Scotties Tournament of Hearts, they finished the round robin with a 7-2 record. This was enough to secure a playoff spot and they faced Sherry Middaugh in the 3-4 game. However, they lost the game. Danielle Inglis (born February 26, 1988) is a Canadians, Canadian curling, curler from Whitby, Ontario. She currently Skip (curling), skips her own team. Career Juniors As a junior curler, Inglis and her Burlington Curling Club rink of Chantal Lalonde, Tracy O'Leary and Pam Feldkamp won the 2008 Pepsi Ontario Junior Curling Championships, upsetting the Rachel Homan rink in the final. Ontario Curling Tour
The Ontario Curling Tour is a group of curling bonspiels, which takes places in Ontario, Canada and attracts some of the top male and female curlers in the province, and from across the country and world. The OCT was designed to promote competitive curling from a grass root level. The events for the Ontario Curling Tour begin at the end of August and typically run until December, with occasional events taking place in January. Several of the events on the Ontario Curling Tour are also included in the World Curling Tour. All events on the Ontario Curling Tour, much like those on World Curling Tour, contain a prize purse for the winning teams, and award CTRS (Canadian Team Ranking System) points to the Canadian teams competing. Megan Balsdon
Megan Balsdon (born May 10, 1982 in Toronto, Ontario) is a Canadian curler. She currently plays third on Team Hollie Duncan. Career In 1998, Balsdon won the Ontario Bantam Mixed championships playing third for skip Bobby Reid. In 2001, she won the Pepsi Ontario Junior Curling Championships playing third for Carrie Lindner. The team represented Ontario at the 2001 Canadian Junior Curling Championships, finishing with an 8-4 round robin record. The team would place third after losing to Prince Edward Island's Suzanne Gaudet in the semifinal game. After juniors, Balsdon joined the Kelly Cochrane rink, playing third for Cochrane until 2006.
