Paris Legends Championship
The Paris Legends Championship is a men's senior (over 50) professional golf tournament on the European Senior Tour. It was held for the first time in September 2016 at Le Golf National, Paris, France. The winner was Magnus Persson Atlevi who won the first prize of €52,500 out of total prize-money of €350,000. Paul Broadhurst won the 2017 event, two strokes ahead of John Daly. In 2018 the event moved to Racing Club de France La Boulie and was won by Gary Orr Gary Hamish Orr (born 11 May 1967) is a Scottish professional golfer. Career Orr was born in Helensburgh, Scotland. Jean-François Remésy
Jean-François Remésy (born 5 June 1964), also known as Jeff Remésy, is a French professional golfer. Career Remésy was born in Nîmes, Occitania. He won the French Amateur Championship in 1985 and turned professional in 1987. For much of his career he has struggled to establish himself as a tour golfer, and he has made over a dozen trips to the European Tour Qualifying School. His first professional win came in a small tournament in France in 1991 and he won on the Challenge Tour in 1994, but he didn't break into the top 100 on the European Tour Order of Merit until 1999. That year he won the Estoril Open on the main tour, and he has continued to progress since then. In 2004 he became the first Frenchman to win the Open de France in 35 years, and in 2005 he retained his title by beating fellow Frenchman Jean van de Velde in a playoff. Mark Mouland
Mark Mouland (born 23 April 1961) is a Welsh professional golfer. Mouland was born in St. Athan in the Vale of Glamorgan, and is the son of six times Welsh champion Sid Mouland. In 1976, he became the youngest ever winner of the British Boys Championship. He turned professional in 1981. By 1986, Mouland was well established on the European Tour, winning that year's Car Care Plan International and finishing 30th on the Order of Merit. He broke his right ankle and left foot in a car crash later that year, but recovered to record the only two top-20 Order of Merit finishes of his career in 1987 (16th) and 1988 (18th). The 1988 KLM Dutch Open was his second and last win on the European Tour. He maintained steady form for many years, last finishing in the top hundred on the Order of Merit in 2001. Philip Golding
Philip Keith Golding (born 25 July 1962) is an English professional golfer. Career Golding was born in Luton, Bedfordshire. He was a promising cricketer who played for Middlesex Colts before he took up golf at the age of 17. He turned professional in 1981, becoming an assistant at his local golf club. Golding has been a regular fixture at the European Tour's qualifying school, where in 2007 he stretched his record to 18 appearances. He has often won a tour card, but up to the age of forty he had never done well enough on the Tour to retain his card automatically. In 2003 Golding won the Open de France, one of Europe's most prestigious events, on his 201st tour start. His prize of €416,660 was more than twice as much as he had ever won in a complete season before that year, and he went on to finish the season in a career best 32nd place on the Order of Merit. Stephen Dodd
Stephen Christopher Dodd (born 15 July 1966) is a Welsh professional golfer who after a moderate career, unexpectedly won two events on the European Tour in the 2005 season at the age of 38 and won a third time in 2006. He also won the 2005 WGC-World Cup in partnership with Bradley Dredge. Since turning 50 he has won four times on the European Senior Tour, including the 2021 Senior Open Championship. Personal life Dodd was born in Cardiff. He resides in Barry, Wales with his wife Allison and their son Liam. Amateur career Dodd had a successful amateur career highlighted by victory in The Amateur Championship at Royal Birkdale in 1989, which qualified him to play in The Open Championship that year and the Masters Tournament the following year. Markus Brier
Markus Brier (born 5 July 1968) is an Austrian professional golfer. He won twice on the European Tour and in 2008 was his country's second highest ranked player, behind Bernd Wiesberger. Career Brier won the Swiss and German Amateur Opens in the mid-1990s, and turned professional in 1995 at a relatively late age. Nine top ten finishes, including five top threes, on the 1999 Challenge Tour earned him third place on the season ending money list and playing privileges on the European Tour for 2000. He retained his tour card through his final position on the order of merit every year, except for 2002 and 2010 when he regained it through final qualifying school. The 2018 Staysure Tour was the 27th season of the European Senior Tour, the professional golf tour for men aged 50 and above operated by the PGA European Tour. The season was officially called the Staysure Tour after UK-based insurance company Staysure became the Tour's first-ever title sponsor.
