	George Paramor George Paramor (19 June 1846 – 2 August 1925) was an English cricketer. He moved to New Zealand in 1873 and played eight first-class matches for Otago between 1873 and 1881. Paramor was employed by the Dunedin Cricket Club as a professional in 1873, supervising the club's ground and practice sessions, and the coaching of younger players. He supplemented his cricket earnings by working in an ironmongery warehouse, whose owner allowed him time off for cricket. The New Zealand cricket historian Tom Reese wrote of Paramor: "He was a tall upstanding player, whose long reddish beard was usually tucked inside his shirt. He was a popular player indeed." His highest score was 62, out of Otago's first innings total of 148, against Canterbury in 1874-75. It was Otago's highest score to that date. 	Norrie Paramor Norman William Paramor (15 May 1914 – 9 September 1979), known professionally as Norrie Paramor, was a British record producer, composer, arranger, pianist, bandleader, and orchestral conductor. He is best known for his work with Cliff Richard and the Shadows, both together and separately, steering their early careers and producing and arranging most of their material from the late 1950s to the early 1970s. Paramor was a composer of studio albums, theatrical productions, and film scores. 	Wendy Paramor Wendy Paramor (12 December 1938 – 28 November 1975) was a mid-20th Century Australian artist. In 2014, the Paramor Prize was created by the Liverpool City Council. Early life and education Paramor was born in Melbourne Victoria, on 12 December 1938. After leaving school at the age of 15, she completed a secretarial course at her father's insistence before studying art at the East Sydney Technical College and Julian Ashton Art School. Career Between 1960 and 1963, she lived in Europe, traveling and exhibiting work in Lisbon, London and New York City. While in Portugal, Paramor had solo exhibitions for three months on a grant from the Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian in Lisbon, Coimbra, and Oporto. On her return to Sydney in 1963, she lived in a modest terrace house in Waterloo and exhibited in group shows with the Contemporary Art Society of Australia (Victoria and New South Wales), and at the Dominion, Barry Stern and Blaxland galleries in Sydney. 	Louis Joseph Vance Louis Joseph Vance (September 19, 1879 – December 16, 1933) was an American novelist, screenwriter and film producer. He created the popular character Michael Lanyard, a criminal-turned-detective known as The Lone Wolf. Biography Louis Joseph Vance was born September 19, 1879, in Washington, D. C., the only child of Wilson J. Vance, a Medal of Honor recipient, and Lillian Beall Vance. He was educated at the Brooklyn Polytechnic Institute. Vance was married to Anne Elizabeth Hodges on February 19, 1898. Their son, Wilson Beall Vance, was born in 1900. He wrote short stories and verse after 1901, then composed many popular novels.
