Paper Bird
Paper Bird was a six-piece indie folk band based in Denver, Colorado. The band was composed of Carleigh Aikins (vocals), brother and sister Mark (drums) and Sarah Anderson (vocals, cornet, trumpet), Paul DeHaven (guitar), and Caleb Summeril (bass, banjo, guitar, harmonica). History Paper Bird formed in 2006, and their self-released first album, ''Anything Nameless and Joymaking'', appeared in 2007. In the summer of 2008, Paper Bird went on their first national tour with New Belgium Brewery's "Tour de Fat". On their East Coast tour, they had numerous sold-out venues, including some in Philadelphia and New York City. They were successful locally and were voted "top band" by 5280 magazine, as well as one of the top ten best bands by the ''Denver Post''. John Oates
John William Oates (born April 7, 1948) is an American musician, best known as half of the rock and soul duo Hall & Oates, with Daryl Hall. He has played rock, R&B, and soul music, acting as a guitarist, singer, songwriter, and record producer. Although Oates' main role in the duo is being the guitarist, he also co-wrote many of the top 10 songs that they recorded, including: "Sara Smile" (referring to Hall's then-girlfriend, Sara Allen), " She's Gone", and "Out of Touch", as well as "You Make My Dreams", "I Can't Go for That (No Can Do)", " Maneater", and "Adult Education". Stelth Ulvang
Stelth Ulvang is an American musician, singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, best known as a touring member of the folk rock band The Lumineers. He is also the co-founder of the Front Range-based band The Dovekins. In February 2015, Ulvang released his debut album, ''And, as Always; the Infinite Cosmos''. He released three more albums (one LP and two EPs) in 2018. Career While working at a coffee shop on Laurel Street in Fort Collins, Ulvang developed an interest in music and decided to become a musician. Park the Van Records is an American record label and management company from New Orleans, Louisiana that was formed in 2004 by Christopher Watson to release music by the band, Dr. Dog. After Hurricane Katrina, the office was moved to Schwenksville, Pennsylvania, then back to New Orleans in 2008, where the label discovered and signed Generationals. In late 2010 the label expanded services to represent independent musicians as managers, adding artists like Broncho, Scott H. Biram, and Pigeon John. The Lumineers are an American alternative folk band based in Denver, Colorado. The founding members are Wesley Schultz (lead vocals, guitar) and Jeremiah Fraites (drums, percussion, piano). Schultz and Fraites began writing and performing together in Ramsey, New Jersey, in 2005. Cellist and vocalist Neyla Pekarek joined the band in 2010, and was a member until 2018.
