Panaga is a coastal settlement on the north-east coast of the island of Borneo, in the Bruneian district of Belait. A village ( or ) is the third and lowest administrative division of Brunei. It is headed by a village head (). Several villages are grouped together to form a mukim. A village is generally the traditional rural settlement, in particular in the sense of a kampong or Malay traditional village, but it may also be an urbanised settlement within or near the capital city or a town, or part of the public housing estates. Seria
Seria () is a town in Belait District, Brunei, about west from the country's capital Bandar Seri Begawan. The total population was 3,625 in 2016. It was where oil was first struck in Brunei in 1929 and has since become a centre for the country's oil and gas industry. Name The name Seria is an acronym for the South East Reserved Industrial Area. In the past, Seria used to be known as , the local name which translates as 'Wild Pigeon's Field', and referred to the area between the Bera and Seria rivers. However, the name has become forgotten today. Geography Seria is located within a mangrove swamp and surrounded by an oil field. The town has a narrow coast with the South China Sea. International School Brunei (ISB) is an international school split over two sites, one located in the Sungai Akar area of Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei and the other located in Seria in the Belait district. It is the first international school to be set up in Brunei. The current executive principal is Dr Stephen Kendall-Jones.
