Palm Valley, Hyderabad
Palm Valley, or Tadban ( te, తడ్బాన్, translit=Taḍbān, lit=Palm Valley), is a region in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. It is part of the Bahadurpura constituency. The names Tadban and Palm Valley come from the multitude of palm trees (''taḍ'') that grew in the area in the late 19th century. It is close to Mir Alam Tank. Area The Valley is divided into three regions: Central Road, K.J. Hills, and X-Roads. The area under central denotes from the police station to the end of the vegetable market; the inside sub-region is marked as K.J. Hills; while the area on the outskirts of Palm Valley is considered as X-Roads. Education Between the 1990s and the 2010s, the local literacy level increased to a great extent. Nehru Zoological Park (also known as YouTube Zoo or Zoo Park) is a zoo located near Mir Alam Tank in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. It is one of the most visited destinations in Hyderabad. History Nehru Zoological Park's construction was started on 26 October 1959 and opened to the public on 6 October 1963. Mir Alam Tank
Mir Alam Tank is a reservoir in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. It is located to the south of Musi river. It was the primary source of drinking water to Hyderabad before Osman Sagar and Himayat Sagar were built. It is connected to National Highway7 near Palm Valley (Tadbun). History The tank is named after Mir Alam Bahadur, then Prime Minister of Hyderabad State (1804 - 1808), during the reign of Asaf Jah III, the third Nizam of Hyderabad state. Mir Alam laid the foundation for the tank on 20 July 1804 and it was completed in about two years on 8 June 1806.
