Palette (IU Album)
''Palette'' () is the fourth studio album by South Korean singer-songwriter IU. It was released on April 21, 2017, by LOEN Entertainment under its imprint FAVE Entertainment. ''Palette'' is IU's first album since ''Chat-Shire'' (2015), and her first full-length release since '' Modern Times'' (2013). The album was successful both commercially and critically. It spawned three singles; " Through the Night" was released as the album's lead single on March 24, followed by " Can't Love You Anymore" on April 7, and the title track, " Palette", released on April 21. All three singles of the album hit number one on South Korean Gaon Chart. ''Billboard'' magazine listed the album at number one on its list of "Best K-Pop Albums of 2017". The album earned IU a Melon Music Award for Album of the Year, and a nomination for Artist of the Year and won Record of the Year (Album) in the 27th Seoul Music Awards. IU (singer)
Lee Ji-eun (; born May 16, 1993), also known by her stage name IU (), is a South Korean singer-songwriter, record producer and actress. She signed with LOEN Entertainment (now Kakao Entertainment) in 2007 as a trainee and debuted as a singer at the age of fifteen with her first extended play (EP) ''Lost and Found'' (2008). The Circle Album Chart, previously known as the Gaon Album Chart, is a record chart ranking the 100 most popular albums, extended plays and single albums in South Korea based on their Record sales, pure sales. It is a part of the Circle Chart, previously known as the Gaon Chart. It compiles shipments in weekly, monthly and year-end format with detailed album sales. , established in 1999, is the holding company at the head of a Japanese corporate group that supplies statistics and information on music and the music industry in Japan and Western music. Oricon Albums Chart
The Oricon Albums Chart is the Japanese music industry standard albums popularity chart issued daily, weekly, monthly and yearly by Oricon. Oricon originally published LP, CT, Cartridge and CD charts prior to the establishment of the Oricon Albums Chart on October 5, 1987. The Oricon Albums Chart's rankings are based on physical albums' sales. Oricon did not include download sales until its establishment of the Digital Albums Chart on November 19, 2016. In November 2018, Oricon began to include streaming in its album rankings, introducing a combined album chart based on album-equivalent units. Charts are published every Tuesday in Oricon Style and on Oricon's official website. Kim Eana ( ko, 김이나; born April 27, 1979) is a South Korean lyricist. She is best known for writing the lyrics to hit K-pop songs, including "Abracadabra" performed by Brown Eyed Girls, and " Good Day" performed by IU. She has been active since 2003. Lee Byung-woo (; born January 22, 1965) is a South Korean guitarist and composer of film scores.
