Palakurthi Assembly constituency is a constituency of the Telangana Legislative Assembly. It is part of Warangal Lok Sabha constituency. The constituency was created mainly from Chennur assembly constituency during the reorganization in 2009. The constituency spans across three districts i.e., Warangal rural, Jangaon and Mahabubabad. Mamidala Yashaswini Reddy of Indian National Congress is currently representing the constituency. Thorrur is a revenue division, mandal and a municipality in Mahabubabad district of Telangana, India. It is located on Jayaprakash Narayana road between Warangal and Khammam. 2018 Telangana Legislative Assembly Election
The Telangana Legislative Assembly election was held in Telangana on 7 December 2018 to constitute the second Legislative Assembly since the formation of the state in 2014. The incumbent Telangana Rashtra Samithi, the Indian National Congress, BJP, Telangana Jana Samithi, and Telugu Desam Party were the main contestants in the election.
