Errabelli Dayakar Rao is an Indian politician who is the former Minister for Panchayat Raj and Rural Development, Rural Water Supply for Telangana state and former Member of the Telangana Legislative Assembly from Palakurthi constituency. He was the member of the Parliament of India. He was elected six times to Legislative Assembly. Rao represents Palakurthi constituency of Warangal district in the Telangana Legislative Assembly. The state of Telangana came into being when Andhra Pradesh was bifurcated and prior to that time, Rao had been elected on several occasions from Wardhannapet constituency to the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly. Bharat Rashtra Samithi ( ; BRS), formerly known as Telangana Rashtra Samithi ( TRS), is an Indian political party which is predominantly active in the state of Telangana. It was founded on 27 April 2001 as by K. Chandrashekar Rao, with a single-point agenda of creating a separate Telangana state with Hyderabad as its capital. It has been instrumental in carrying forth a sustained agitation for the granting of statehood to Telangana. In the 2014 Telangana Assembly Election, the party won a majority of seats and formed the first government of the State with K. Chandrashekar Rao as its chief minister.
