PSA World Tour Finals
The PSA World Tour Finals is the end of season championship of the PSA World Tour of male and female professional squash players. The top eight players in the current PSA World Tour is qualified for the event. The eight players compete in two groups of four and play a round robin to determine the semi-finalists. The competition then becomes a knock-out competition to determine the World Series Finals champions. The event has been staged since 1993 in Zurich, Hatfield, London and Manchester and then London again before switching to Dubai in 2016. The event has prize money of $160,000. In 2012 the event added a women's section 2011 and 2013 has seen the women compete again during the day session, with the men competing in the evening session. The Galleria, Hatfield
The Galleria is a designer outlet centre in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, England. History The center was developed in the 1980s as part of a plan to reduce congestion in Hatfield while increasing retail space. The A1(M), a bypass of the old Great North Road from London, was built as a cut-and-cover tunnel with The Galleria on top. It was a project of Gerald Carroll's Carroll Group and was budgeted at £50 million but cost £90 million by the time it was finished, 18 months late. Carroll refinanced the project and injected £30 million. It opened in 1991, but banker Samuel Montagu placed the scheme in receivership in 1992. The 2019 Men's PSA World Series Finals was the men's edition of the PSA World Tour Finals (Prize money : $160,000). The top 8 players in the 2018–19 PSA World Tour are qualified for the event. The event took place at Mall of Arabia, Cairo in Egypt from 9–14 June 2019. It was the first edition under the PSA World Tour Finals label after the PSA renamed PSA World Series to current PSA World Tour Finals. CIB sponsored the event. Karim Abdel Gawad (born July 30, 1991, in Alexandria) is a professional squash player who has represented Egypt. He reached a career-high world ranking of World No. 1 in May 2017. In November 2016, he won the 2016 World Open Squash Championship in Cairo in Egypt against Ramy Ashour. He became the third Egyptian to win the World Championship after Amr Shabana and Ramy Ashour. Marwan El Shorbagy
Marwan El Shorbagy (born July 30, 1993, in Alexandria) is a professional squash player who represents Egypt. He reached a career-high world ranking of World No. 3 in May 2018. He won the World Juniors in 2011 & 2012 and became the third player in history to win the World Junior twice. Career overview Marwan was born and raised in the Egyptian city of Alexandria.
