PMMC G5
The PMMC (Protected Mission Module Carrier) G5 is a family of light tracked vehicles designed and manufactured by Flensburger Fahrzeugbau GmbH (FFG) of Germany. Although it is similar in appearance and design to the American M113, and the company manufacturers modernised versions of that vehicle, the PMMC G5 is an all-new ground-up design. As of 2022, it has only been selected for use by the Norwegian Army and is now described by FFG as a "technology demonstrator". The .50 Browning Machine Gun (.50 BMG, 12.7×99mm NATO and designated as the 50 Browning by the C.I.P.) is a caliber cartridge developed for the M2 Browning heavy machine gun in the late 1910s, entering official service in 1921. A torque converter is a type of fluid coupling that transfers rotating power from a prime mover, like an internal combustion engine, to a rotating driven load. In a vehicle with an automatic transmission, the torque converter connects the power source to the load. It is usually located between the engine's flexplate and the transmission. The equivalent location in a manual transmission would be the mechanical clutch.
