Overbrook High School (Philadelphia)
Overbrook High School is a public, four-year secondary school in Philadelphia, in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania. School Overbrook High School is designated by the School District of Philadelphia as Location #402, in the West Region. The building was built in 1924 and designed by Irwin T. Catharine. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1986. Enrollment for 2020-2021 was 411 students in grades 9 through 12. African Americans make up 94% of the student population. As of 2015, the school principal of Overbrook is Dr. Kahlila Johnson-Lee; Johnson-Lee graduated from Overbrook in 1989. Richard Laurel (born July 11, 1954) is an American former professional basketball player. He played college basketball at Hofstra University and played one season for the Milwaukee Bucks of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Ted Eisenberg D.O. is a Philadelphia, Pennsylvania based plastic surgeon who specializes in cosmetic breast surgery. The Delfonics were an American R&B/soul vocal group from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The Delfonics were most popular in the late 1960s and early 1970s. Tony Costner (born June 30, 1962) is an American former professional basketball player who was selected by the Washington Bullets in the 2nd round (34th overall) of the 1984 NBA Draft and played in Europe and in the Continental Basketball Association. William Walker Cash (February 21, 1919 – September 12, 2011), nicknamed "Ready", was an American baseball player who became an all-star catcher in the Negro leagues. He batted and threw right-handed.
