Olivia Fotopoulou
Olivia Fotopoulou (born 20 December 1996) is a Cypriot track and field athlete who competes as a sprinter. She is a multiple time national champion in the 100 metres and 200 metres. Career In June 2022, she won a bronze medal in the 100 metres at the 2022 Mediterranean Games. She competed in the 200m at the 2022 World Athletics Championships in Eugene, Oregon in July, running 23.25s in the first round. The following month she competed at the 2022 European Athletics Championships in Munich running 23.33s in the semi-finals over 200m. Competing at the 2023 European Athletics Indoor Championships in Istanbul in March 2023, she ran 7.36s in the semi-finals of the 60 meters. In June 2023, she finished second with a time of 11.34s in the 100 meters in the 2nd division of the 2023 European Team Championships in Chorzów and was first in the 200 meters, running 22.71s, securing the silver medal overall, behind only Lieke Klaver. Lieke Klaver (; born 20 August 1998) is a Dutch track and field athlete who competes in sprinting. She specializes in the 200 metres and in the 400 metres. In the 4 × 400 metres relay, she is the 2023 World Champion with the Dutch women's team. Klaver represented the Netherlands at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. She finished fourth in the 400 metres at the 2022 World Athletics Championships. Klaver won the silver medal for the event at the 2023 European Indoor Championships. 2023 European Team Championships
The 2023 European Athletics Team Championships (ETC) in athletics will be held in Stadion Śląski in June 2023. The event was first planned to be held in Madrid, but after European Athletics and European Olympic Committee reached to an agreement, the event was added to the 2023 European Games programme and moved to Poland. Madrid will host the 2025 ETC. 60 Meters
60 metres, or 60-meter dash, is a sprint event in track and field. It is a championship event for indoor championships, normally dominated by the best outdoor 100 metres runners. At outdoor venues it is a rare distance, at least for senior athletes. The format of the event is similar to other sprint distances. The sprinters follow three initial instructions: 'ready', instructing them to take up position in the starting blocks; 'set', instructing them to adopt a more efficient starting posture, which also isometrically preloads their muscles. This will enable them to start faster. The final instruction is the firing of the starter's pistol. Upon hearing this the sprinters stride forwards from the blocks.
