Old Bridge (Maribor)
The Old Bridge ( sl, Stari most), also named the State Bridge (), the Main Bridge (), and the Drava Bridge (), is a bridge crossing the Drava River in Maribor, northeastern Slovenia. It links Main Square () and Pobrežje Street () and is long. Its central part, spanning the Drava, is long and has three steel arches. The bridge was completed in 1913 and opened to traffic on 23 August of that year. During World War II, it was damaged and later partially rebuilt. The last renovations took place in 1990 and 1998. Maribor
Maribor ( , , , ; also known by other #Name, historical names) is the second-largest city in Slovenia and the largest city of the traditional region of Styria (Slovenia), Lower Styria. It is also the seat of the City Municipality of Maribor, the seat of the Drava Statistical Region, Drava statistical region and the Eastern Slovenia region. Maribor is also the economic, administrative, educational, and cultural centre of eastern Slovenia. Maribor was first mentioned as a castle in 1164, as a settlement in 1209, and as a city in 1254.
