Office Of Integrative Art
The Office of Integrative Art (german: Büro für Integrative Kunst) is a German group of artists. Based on artistic practices and current discussions of public processes, the office was founded in 2000. Since then Jörg Amonat (born 1960) and Stefan Krüskemper (born 1963) have developed suggestions and realized contributions in changing team constellations. Fields of work are public art, the urban space, and contemporary art strategies. Public Art
Public art is art in any Media (arts), media whose form, function and meaning are created for the general public through a public process. It is a specific art genre with its own professional and critical discourse. Public art is visually and physically accessible to the public; it is installed in public space in both outdoor and indoor settings. Public art seeks to embody public or universal concepts rather than commercial, partisan or personal concepts or interests. Notably, public art is also the direct or indirect product of a public process of creation, procurement, and/or maintenance. Independent art created or staged in or near the public realm (for example, graffiti, street art) lacks official or tangible public sanction has not been recognized as part of the public art genre, however this attitude is changing due to the efforts of several street artists. Contemporary Art
Contemporary art is the art of today, produced in the second half of the 20th century or in the 21st century. Contemporary artists work in a globally influenced, culturally diverse, and technologically advancing world. Their art is a dynamic combination of Medium (arts), materials, methods, concepts, and subjects that continue the challenging of boundaries that was already well underway in the 20th century. Diverse and eclectic, contemporary art as a whole is distinguished by the very lack of a uniform, organising principle, ideology, or "-ism". Neue Gesellschaft Für Bildende Kunst
The New Society for Visual Arts (Neue Gesellschaft für Bildende Kunst or nGbK) is a German art association, which was established in 1969. It is headquartered in the Berlin district of Kreuzberg, Germany. History The New Society for Visual Arts was created in 1969 after the dissolution of the German Society of Fine Arts. Program nGbK exhibition program is well known for its political and social engagement, as well as for being decided on through direct democratic way with votes of members on annual assemblies. Unlike most German art associations, nGbK members themselves (also with non-members) set up working groups of 5 or more and then submit projects to be presented and voted on. Aerodynamic Park
The Aerodynamic Park (german: Aerodynamischer Park) of the Humboldt University in Berlin-Adlershof was once part of the German Johannisthal Air Field. Laboratories, motor test beds, wind tunnels and hangars, erected in the 20s and 30s, are historical landmarks of the Aerodynamic Park today.
