Overnewton Anglican Community College
Overnewton Anglican Community College (more commonly known as 'OACC', or simply Overnewton) is an private, co-educational, day school, in Melbourne, Victoria. The college was founded in 1987. The college has two campuses, the Canowindra Campus (formerly Taylors Lakes Campus) located in Taylors Lakes, and the Yirramboi Campus (formerly Keilor Campus) located in Keilor. Prep to Year 4 (commonly known within the College as the Junior School) and Year 9 is only available at the Canowindra Campus; and the Year 5 to Year 8 (known as the Middle School) and Year 10 to 12 (known as the Senior School) are only available at the Yirramboi Campus in Keilor. Students at the school are encouraged to become involved in a range of co-curricular activities that complement the academic program. Christian education is a core subject at all levels. Keilor is a suburb in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, north-west of Melbourne's Central Business District, located within the Cities of Brimbank and Hume local government areas. Keilor recorded a population of 5,906 at the 2021 census. Taylors Lakes is a suburb in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, north-west of Melbourne's Central Business District, located within the City of Brimbank local government area. Taylors Lakes recorded a population of 15,174 at the . Rock Eisteddfod Challenge
The Rock Eisteddfod Challenge, also known as the Australian Rock Eisteddfod Challenge, was an Australian dance and drama challenge for government-funded high schools that was active between 1980 and 2012. Initiated by the Rock Eisteddfod Challenge Foundation as part of the Global Rock Challenge, the aim of the event was to promote healthy lifestyle choices, particularly abstinence from drugs, alcohol and cigarettes. The event started in Sydney, New South Wales in 1980 and subsequently spread to other States and territories of Australia and a small number of other countries. In 2004 an event for primary school students was started, called J Rock, to raise awareness about obesity and other eating disorders by promoting dance as a fun way to exercise.
