Taylors Lakes is a suburb in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, north-west of Melbourne's Central Business District, located within the City of Brimbank local government area. Taylors Lakes recorded a population of 15,174 at the . Taylors Lakes is bounded by the Calder Freeway in the north, Overnewton Road and Taylors Creek in the east, Lady Nelson Way in the south and the Bendigo railway line in the west. The suburb is mostly composed of recent developments dating from the 1990s, with Taylors Lakes Post Office opening on 18 August 1994. One of Keilor's earliest settlers was the Scotsman William Taylor, who built the Overnewton homestead in 1849. Taylors Creek was named after him, which in turn gives the name of the suburb. Bendigo Railway Line
The Deniliquin railway line (also known as the Echuca railway line) is a broad-gauge railway line serving northwestern Victoria, Australia. The line runs from the border settlement of Deniliquin into Bendigo, before turning south-southeast towards Melbourne, terminating in Docklands near the central business district. Watergardens Town Centre is a super regional shopping centre located in Taylors Lakes, 24 kilometres north-west of Melbourne, Victoria. It opened in 1997, and is owned by the Queensland Investment Corporation. Taylors Creek Trail
__NOTOC__ The Taylors Creek Trail is a shared use path for cyclists and pedestrians, which follows Taylors Creek in the outer north-west suburb of Taylors Lakes in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Combined with the Maribyrnong River Trail this trail makes for a good trip into the Melbourne city centre. Following the Path The path starts about 300m south of Melton Highway and Kings Road intersection adjacent to Watergardens Shopping Centre, not far from Watergardens (a.k.a. Sydenham) station. Following the path is straightforward. When heading east from Watergardens Shopping Centre, change from the south side of the creek to the north side of the creek at Sunshine Avenue. Stay on the north side thereafter. Enjoy the remnant vegetation to be found along the creek bank and follow the instructions below to arrive at the Maribyrnong River Trail. The Essendon District Football League (EDFL) is a professional Australian rules football league competition based in Essendon, Victoria, consisting of teams based in the north-west suburbs of Melbourne. Founded in 1930, the men's competition consists of three leagues: Premier Division, Division 1 and Division 2, with 10 clubs in the Premier Division and Division 1 nine in Division 2.
