Outer Ring Road, Patna
The Outer Ring Road is a proposed 140 kilometer, 6-lane ring road expressway encircling the capital city of Patna, Bihar, India. History The area of Patna SCR (State Capital Region) will be spread over three districts of Patna, Vaishali and Saran district with this 4/6 lane highway project which has a length of 140 km and cost of 4800 crore. The expanses of Patna city will also reach the north of the Ganges river. Not only this, the way to spread the city of Patna on both sides of the Gandak river will open. It has been instructed to finalize the southern part of its DPR Ganga by July 31, 2019 and the northern part till September 15, 2019. Jp Ganga Path (Ganga Pathway) or Patna Marine Drive is an expressway along the Ganga river in Patna, Bihar, India. It is expected to be completed by the end of 2022. It is being jointly constructed by the Housing and Urban Development Corporation (HUDCO) and the Government of Bihar. The first phase of the expressway was open to the public on 24 June 2022. Digha–Sonpur Bridge
The Digha–Sonpur bridge ( hi, दीघा-सोनपुर पुल) or J. P. Setu ( hi, जेपी सेतु) is a rail-cum-road bridge across river Ganga, connecting Digha Ghat in Patna and Pahleja Ghat in Sonpur, Saran district in the Indian state of Bihar. It is named after Indian independence activist Jayaprakash Narayan (J. P.). The rail-cum-road bridge provides easy roadway and railway link between northern and southern parts of Bihar. Patna–Digha Ghat Line
Patna–Digha Ghat line was a railway line connecting Patna Junction and Digha Ghat railway station in the Indian city of Patna. It was constructed by the British in 1862, and functioned intermittently. The railway line was revived in 1962–63 and 2004 by the then Indian Railway Ministers, Jagjivan Ram and Lalu Prasad Yadav, respectively. Passenger train operations on the route were economically unviable due to low ridership. However, trains continued to run on the railway line in order to prevent encroachment. In August 2018, the railway line along with the surrounding land was transferred to the Bihar state government, which plans to convert it into a four- to six-lane roadway to ease traffic congestion in the city. The project is scheduled to be completed by mid-2021.
