One Lone Car
One Lone Car is an indie rock band from St. Louis, Missouri. Formed in 2004 by Dustin Plegge and Andy Herrin. They combined members from Satellite Affair and Behind the Stars, both bands originally from Alton, IL They self-released the ''Variety Half Hour EP'' in 2005. MTV licensed the album that same year. Background One Lone Car was approached by keyboardist Doug Firley of Gravity Kills in 2006 about his new label he had recently started, Shock City Records. The band went into the studio and recorded two new songs with producers Doug Firley and Chris Loesch. ''Variety Hour'' was released on October 31, 2006 through Shock City Records. The album was a re-release of the 2005 independent ''Variety Half Hour EP'', which featured two new songs, "The City" and "Mention Love". Blueberry Hill is a restaurant and music club located in the Delmar Loop neighborhood in University City, a suburb of St. Louis, Missouri. Until October 2014, Chuck Berry performed there the third Wednesday of each month, in the Duck Room. The restaurant is considered a St. Louis landmark, drawing tourists and locals during the day, and then becoming a popular hangout for university students in the evening, mostly from nearby Washington University. Cavo
Cavo is an American hard rock band from St. Louis, Missouri. Because of their sound and musical influences, they are sometimes classified as post-grunge. Band history In late 2000, guitarist Chris Hobbs, bassist Ryan Kemp, and drummer Chad La Roy were searching for a vocalist for their band. With input from close friends Scott Gertken and Rich Criebaum of Modern Day Zero, the three auditioned then-unknown singer Casey Walker. By March 2001, Walker joined the band, and they adopted the name "Hollow". Soon after, Mike "Tomas" Tomasovich joined Hollow as a second guitarist. The B-52's
The B-52's, also styled as The B-52s, are an American new wave band formed in Athens, Georgia, in 1976. The original lineup consisted of Fred Schneider (vocals, percussion), Kate Pierson (vocals, keyboards, synth bass), Cindy Wilson (vocals, percussion), Ricky Wilson (guitar), and Keith Strickland (drums, guitar, keyboards). Ricky Wilson died of AIDS-related illness in 1985, and Strickland switched from drums to lead guitar. The band also added various members for albums and live performances. Auburn Williams (born December 2, 1989), known mononymously as Auburn, is an American singer-songwriter. Soul Asylum is an American alternative rock band formed in 1981 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Their 1993 hit "Runaway Train (Soul Asylum song), Runaway Train" won the Grammy Award for Best Rock Song. The band was originally called Loud Fast Rules, with a lineup consisting of Dave Pirner, Dan Murphy (musician), Dan Murphy, Karl Mueller (rock musician), Karl Mueller, and Pat Morley. Flickerstick is an American alternative rock band from Fort Worth, Texas.
