Odanleh
Odanleh, also spelt Odenleh () is a town in Buhoodle District, in the Togdheer region of Somaliland. Recent history In September 2014, the Somaliland Ministry of Interior attempted to establish two polling stations in Qoorlugud and Odanleh to conduct registration for the elections, but the Qoorlugud district council rejected this registration. In April 2015, the Ethiopian army arrested four men for murder in Odanleh. Togdheer
Togdheer ( so, Togdheer, ar, تُوْجْدَيْر, Tūjdayr) is an administrative region ('' gobol'') in central Somaliland. Togdheer is bordered by Maroodi Jeex to the west, Saaxil to the north, Sanaag to the northeast, Sool to the east and Ethiopia to the south. Its capital is Burao. Overview Togdheer is bordered by Maroodi Jeex from the west, Sahil to the north, Ethiopia to the south, and Sanaag & Sool to the east. With its capital at Burao (Burco), the region's name is derived from the Togdheer River, which means "Long River" in Somali. The region has an approximate population of 350,000 people. Qoorlugud
Qorilugud is a sizeable town in Togdheer region of Somaliland, located north by road from Buuhoodle. It is the second-largest town in Buuhoodle District after the district capital Buuhoodle. The Districts of Somaliland (also known as local government districts) are second-level administrative subdivisions of Somaliland, below the level of region. There are a total of 22 district, each district is rated A, B, C, or D according to population, budget, and economic scale with the highest being A grade. The district where the state capital is located is always Class A (by Article 9 of the Local Government Law). The region with the most districts is Sanaag region (5), while the region with the fewest is Sahil region (2). The notation follows the Somali version of the 2019 Local Government Act. Balli Ad
Balli Ad (Balli Cad, Balicaad, Balicad) is a town in Buhoodle District of Togdheer region in Somaliland. Balli Ad is a place name found throughout Somalis residential area. History In August 2015, Khatumo State President Ali Khalif Galaydh moved his base from Sahdheer to Balli Ad after being pursued by Somaliland forces. In September, Khatumo State held a council meeting in Balli Ad, but some of the traditional elders in Sool refused to attend. In January 2016, Somaliland forces occupied Balli Ad from Khatumo State. The Somaliland government said, "The Somalia government incited violence in this region, which is Somaliland territory. The deployment of troops is to bring peace and stability to the region." Buuhoodle ( so, Buuhoodle, ar, بووهودل), also known as Bohotle, is the second largest city in the Togdheer region of Somaliland and also the capital of the Cayn region under Puntland. It is a prominent border town for movements of goods to and from Somaliland and the Somali Region of Ethiopia. The surrounding district is rich in both livestock and fledgeling agriculture. Ahmed Mohamed Mohamoud "Silanyo" ( so, Axmed Maxamed Maxamuud Siilaanyo, ar, احمد محمد محمود سيلانيو) (born 1938) is a Somaliland politician who was President of Somaliland from 2010–2017. He is a long-time member of the government, having served as Minister of Commerce of the Somali Republic, and among other Cabinet positions.
