Nieuw-Vennep
Nieuw-Vennep is a town in the Dutch province of North Holland. It's located near the capital city Amsterdam as well as Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. It has a population of 31,415 (2021), and is a part of the municipality of Haarlemmermeer, which ranks in top 15% of Dutch municipalities by income level. Geography and demographics Nieuw-Vennep has 31,415 inhabitants (2021). The town has two districts, the Old Town and the newly built Getsewoud, with each being home to around half the town's population. In 2001, before the development of Getsewoud, Nieuw-Vennep had 17,886 inhabitants. The development of Getsewoud doubled the number of homes in the town and the population followed soon after. Nieuw-Vennep Railway Station
Nieuw-Vennep is a railway station in Nieuw-Vennep, Netherlands located on the Weesp–Leiden railway. It the second station in Nieuw Vennep; there existed an earlier one on the Hoofddorp–Leiden railway (commonly referred to as the ''Haarlemmermeerspoorlijn''; from Aalsmeer to Haarlem, via Hoofddorp and Leiden). Haarlemmermeer
Haarlemmermeer () is a municipality in the west of the Netherlands, in the province of North Holland. Haarlemmermeer is a polder, consisting of land reclaimed from water. The name Haarlemmermeer means 'Haarlem's lake', referring to the body of water from which the region was reclaimed in the 19th century. Haarlemmermeer's main town is Hoofddorp, which has a population of 76,660. Hoofddorp, along with the rapidly growing towns of Nieuw-Vennep and Badhoevedorp, are part of the Randstad agglomeration. Hoofddorp
Hoofddorp (; ) is the main town of the Haarlemmermeer municipality in the province of North Holland in the Netherlands. In 2021, the population was 77,885. The town was founded in 1853, immediately after the Haarlemmermeer had been drained. History After the draining of the Haarlemmermeer, two villages, Kruisdorp (Crossvillage) and Venneperdorp (Vennepervillage), were founded in the centre of the polder. In 1868 they were renamed to Hoofddorp and Nieuw-Vennep respectively. Hoofddorp became more prosperous than Nieuw-Vennep, and it rapidly became the most important place of the district. "Jack Names the Planets" is the debut single by Ash, released in February 1994. The single was originally released on vinyl only and is entirely different from the album version that appears on their EP, '' Trailer''. The single was re-released on 2 December 2002 in CD format as a limited edition with the Raptor 12" version of "Season" as an extra B-side, as part of the promotion for the ''Intergalactic Sonic 7″s'' greatest hits collection. The song first appeared on the ''Shed'' demo tape, recorded in 1992 and again on the ''Garage Girl'' and '' Pipe Smokin' Brick'' demo-tapes. Ash were first signed when a copy of ''Garage Girl'' was given to Stephen 'Tav' Tavner, who signed them on the basis of "Jack Names the Planets". Only 2,000 copies of the single were released, and the single was recorded on a £300 budget. Mitchell Glenn Donald (born 10 December 1988) is a professional footballer who plays as a midfielder. He previously played for AFC Ajax, where he went through the youth program. De Vennip
De Vennip is a former municipality in the Netherlands, which at the time belonged to the province of South Holland. It consisted of a small area of land east of Hillegom, and a large part of the Haarlemmermeer lake, including the island of Beinsdorp (which is now the name of a village in the Haarlemmermeer polder). The area of the municipality was 38.61 km², of which only 1.18 km² was land. According to the 19th-century historian A.J. van der Aa, De Vennip used to be a manor, and was first mentioned in 1334. The land area of the manor was much larger than, but when the Haarlemmermeer grew, De Vennip became smaller. From 1812 until 1817, the area was part of the municipality Hillegom, but it became a separate municipality in 1817, even though there were no inhabitants. In 1855, it merged again with Hillegom. A polder () is a low-lying tract of land that forms an artificial hydrological entity, enclosed by embankments known as dikes. Ash (band)
Ash are a Northern Irish rock band formed in Downpatrick in 1992 by vocalist and guitarist Tim Wheeler, bassist Mark Hamilton and drummer Rick McMurray. As a three-piece, they released mini-album '' Trailer'' in 1994 and full-length album ''1977'' in 1996. This 1996 release was named by '' NME'' as one of the 500 greatest albums of all time. After the success of their full debut the band recruited Charlotte Hatherley as a guitarist and vocalist, releasing their second record ''Nu-Clear Sounds'' in 1998.
