Niaz Ahmed (cricketer)
Niaz Ahmed Siddiqi (11 November 1945 – 12 April 2000) was a Pakistani cricketer who played in two Test cricket, Tests in 1967 and 1969. He was the only East Pakistani to play Test cricket for Pakistan cricket team, Pakistan. Niaz M. Khan ( ur, ) (7 June 1907 – 21 April 1972) served as the Chief Commissioner of the Pakistan Boy Scouts Association, and served on the World Scout Committee of the World Organization of the Scout Movement from 1963 to 1969. Niaz Murshed ( bn, নিয়াজ মোরশেদ; also Morshed; born May 13, 1966) is a Bangladeshi chess player. In 1987 he became the first South Asian to earn the Grandmaster title. Early life Murshed was born in Dhaka, Bangladesh, to Manzur Murshed and Najma Ahmed. He picked up the game from his older brother. His neighbor was Jamilur Rahman, who later became a national champion himself. These favorable conditions may have contributed to the young Murshed's devotion to chess. Murshed passed his SSC exam in 1983 from St. Joseph Higher Secondary School and HSC exam in 1985 from Dhaka College.. Arbab Niaz Stadium ( ur, ارباب نیاز سٹیڈیم), formerly known as Shahi Bagh Stadium ( ur, شاہی باغ سٹیڈیم), is a cricket stadium in Peshawar, Pakistan and home ground of Peshawar Zalmi. The Niaz Stadium is a cricket ground in Hyderabad, Pakistan. The ground has a capacity of 7,000 and hosted its first test match in 1973. It was established in November 1961 by then Commissioner of Hyderabad, Niaz Ahmed, and the stadium is named after him. The first ever hat-trick in One Day Internationals was taken by Pakistan's Jalal-ud-Din at this stadium during Australia's 1982-83 tour of Pakistan.
