This is presenting a complete list in alphabetical order of cricketers who have played for Khulna Division in first-class, List A or Twenty20 matches since the team was formed ahead of the 1999–2000 season for the first National Cricket League (NCL) competition. Complying with other club lists, details are the player's name followed by his years active as a Khulna player, current players to the end of the 2015–16 season. Please to note that this list excludes players who appeared for the team in 1999–2000 ''only''. This is because the NCL was not a first-class competition in its opening season. Cricket
Cricket is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams of eleven players on a field at the centre of which is a pitch with a wicket at each end, each comprising two bails balanced on three stumps. The batting side scores runs by striking the ball bowled at one of the wickets with the bat and then running between the wickets, while the bowling and fielding side tries to prevent this (by preventing the ball from leaving the field, and getting the ball to either wicket) and dismiss each batter (so they are "out"). Means of dismissal include being bowled, when the ball hits the stumps and dislodges the bails, and by the fielding side either catching the ball after it is hit by the bat, but before it hits the ground, or hitting a wicket with the ball before a batter can cross the crease in front of the wicket. Mohammad Anamul Haque Bijoy (born 16 December 1992) is a Bangladeshi cricketer. He is a wicket-keeper and an opening right-handed batsman. Bijon Bhattacharya ( bn, বিজন ভট্টাচার্য; 17 July 1906 – 19 January 1978) was an Indian theatre and film actor from West Bengal. He was an eminent playwright and dramatist. Atiqur Rahman (cricketer)
M. Atiqur Rahman (1 September 1931 – 20 December 2023) was a lieutenant general and Bangladesh's Chief of Army Staff from 1986 to 1990. Early life M. Atiqur Rahman studied at Union Academy, Delhi. He attended Gordon College, Rawalpindi. Military career Atiqur Rahman was commissioned in 1954 in the Pakistan Army's artillery regiment. Rahman did not join the Bangladesh Liberation War, as he was held as a prisoner of war (POW). He returned from Pakistan in 1974 and was allowed to join the Bangladesh Army. He was the second returned Pakistan officer to become Bangladesh's Chief of Army Staff after Ershad. Syed Ashraful Haque is a former Bangladeshi cricketer. He was the architect of Bangladesh's first ever ICC Trophy victory, over Fiji in May 1979. His 7/23 from 9.1 overs completely destroyed the Fiji middle order, leading Bangladesh to a 22 run win. He was also a member of the Bangladesh side that played in the historic match at Dhaka against the MCC in January 1977.
