According to Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs, the stadium will be renovated according to international standard having all modern facilities for players, officials, journalists and audience, Radio Pakistan reported.
In May 2022 , it was announced that Peshawar and Pakistan state of art stadium would host PSL 8 2023 matches along the Eliminator women's PSL in 2023
