Newday
Newday is an annual Christianity, Christian youth festival for Churches from all denominations, initially organised by the Newfrontiers family of churches. Established since August 2004, the event is aimed at young people between the ages of 12 and 18. Vision Newday's stated vision is to play a role in stopping the drift away from God in young people's lives. This includes performing voluntary community work during the festival period, worshipping God through music, preachers and prayers. History The first Newday event in 2004 was held at Newark-on-Trent, Newark showground, Lincolnshire and was attended by about 3500. It was interrupted by torrential rainfall flooding the camp site causing many young people to be evacuated into nearby schools and leisure centres. The 2005 event moved to Notts County Stadium, Nottingham, with an attendance of about 5000. The 2006 event was at Uttoxeter Racecourse, Staffordshire, attended by nearly 6000. Mobilise
Mobilise is a set of Christian conferences, weekend retreats and resources for students and twenties, run by the Newfrontiers family of churches in the UK. Mobilise Conference The main Mobilise event is an annual conference which has been attended by over 1600 students and twenties. The 4 day conference was held during the summer, often in July, at the Brighton Centre in Brighton, England, alongside the Together On A Mission conference for Christian leaders. At the final Together On A Mission conference in July 2011, it was announced that the Mobilise conference would continue independently in the coming years. The 2012 conference will be held at a Pontins holiday park in Prestatyn, Wales. Other Endeavours Leaders' Weekends Mobilise runs student and twenties workers' retreats. Newfrontiers
Newfrontiers (previously New Frontiers International) is a neo-charismatic church network of evangelical, charismatic churches founded by Terry Virgo. It forms part of the British New Church Movement, which began in the late 1950s and 1960s combining features of Pentecostalism with British evangelicalism. Other streams of the British New Church Movement with which it shares some features include ''Together'', ''Ministries Without Borders'', and ''Life-Links''. Groups like ''Pioneer'', ''Ichthus Christian Fellowship'', and ''Vineyard'' are more distantly related. Uttoxeter Racecourse is a National Hunt racecourse in Uttoxeter, Staffordshire, England. Course Uttoxeter is a left-handed oval shaped course of 1 mile 2½ furlongs in circumference. The back ‘straight’ has a dog-leg to the right and is undulating as it rises over Clump Hill. The course continues with a downhill run around the far bend into the home straight.
