Nazir Ahmed, Baron Ahmed ( ur, , born 24 April 1957) is a former British Labour politician of Pakistani origin. He was appointed a life peer in 1998 by the Labour Government. Many of his political activities related to the Muslim community both in the UK and abroad. In 2013, he alleged a Jewish conspiracy for a prison sentence he received following a fatal motorway crash. He was suspended from, and later resigned from, the Labour Party. He faced expulsion from the House of Lords in 2020 on account of sexually exploiting a woman who had approached him in 2017 in his capacity as a member of the House, and resigned from the House after a recommendation of its Conduct Committee that he be expelled, but before it was implemented. Pir Nazeer Ahmed (1800–22 July 1960) was an Indian Islamic scholar and Sufi saint. He was the eldest son of Muhammad Qasim Sadiq, founder of Mohra Sharif. Early life and education Ahmed was born in 1880. His education started at an early age. Because formal schooling was not available in the area, various scholars were invited to Mohra Sharif to teach him Persian, Urdu, Islamic Studies, Arabic, Sarf, Nahv, Hadith, Fiqh and other traditional subjects. Along with these, he was also trained in riding, swordsmanship and lancing. In 1892, when he was 12 years of age, his father Muhammad Qasim Sadiq took him to Kahyian Sharif to meet with Khwaja Nizam ad Din. Nazir Ahmad Qasmi (born 20 June 1964) is a Kashmiri Sunni Islamic scholar and jurist who serves as the Grand Mufti of Darul Uloom Raheemiyyah. He is an alumnus of Darul Uloom Deoband and the Imārat-e-Sharia; and a member of the All India Muslim Personal Law Board and general secretary of the Majlis-e-Fiqhi, Jammu and Kashmir. Qasmi's works include ''Mirzaiyat ka radd - Usūl awr Tarīqa-e-Behs'' and ''Islam awr AIDS se tahaffuz ka tarīqa''. His religious edicts appear regularly in the Friday edition of Kashmir Uzma. Khwaja Nazir Ahmad (Urdu: خواجہ نذیر احمد ; December 2, 1897 – 1970) was an Ahmadiyya writer. After experiments with Hinduism and Christianity he converted back to Islam in 1919 and in 1923, aged 25, became imam of Woking's mosque. He returned to become a Senior Advocate of the Federal Court of Pakistan and an Advocate of His Majesty's High Court of Judicature at Lahore.
