Nazir Ahmad Laway (born 5 November 1963 in Hanad Chawalgam, Kulgam district in Jammu and Kashmir union territory, India) is an Indian politician.He lost his election by only few votes to Yusuf Tairgami(CPI).After that he was elected Member of parliament.His term of Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha representing the state of Jammu & Kashmir in Rajya Sabha ended on 15 February 2021. On 1 November, he was expelled through an anonymous press release from J&KPDP for anti-party activities as he attended the swearing-in ceremony of first Lt. Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Girish Chandra Murmu. He strongly opposed the move of Central Government in Parliament when Article 370 & 35 A were abrogated on 5 November 2019. Kulgam
Kulgam (), known as Kolgom () in Kashmiri, is a town, an administrative division and capital of the Kulgam district in the Indian union territory of Jammu and Kashmir. It is located at a distance of from the summer state capital of Jammu and Kashmir, Srinagar. The Jammu and Kashmir People's Conference is a political party in Jammu and Kashmir, India, founded by Abdul Ghani Lone and Molvi Iftikhar Hussain Ansari in 1978. It is currently led by Sajjad Lone. It won two seats in the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly in the 2014 elections. History Abdul Ghani Lone founded the People's Conference in 1977 and it was the only separatist organization registered with the Election Commission of India till 1996. In 1993, Lone joined the secessionist Hurriyat Conference. His ideology about Kashmir was to make it an 'Independent Kashmir' after being anti-India as well as anti-Pakistan.
