NASCAR Whelen Euro Series
The NASCAR Whelen Euro Series (formerly known as Racecar Euro Series and Euro-Racecar NASCAR Touring Series) is an official NASCAR stock-car racing series based in Europe. It is one of NASCAR's three international-sanctioned series, alongside the NASCAR Pinty's Series and the NASCAR PEAK Mexico Series, and the only one based outside North America. History French rally driver Jérôme Galpin conceived the idea of a European-based stock car racing series after he watched a NASCAR race in 2002. His family group, Team FJ, then launched the Racecar Euro Series in June 2008, and announced that the first season would be held the following year as a FFSA-sanctioned series. Stock car racing is a form of automobile racing run on oval tracks and road courses measuring approximately . It originally used production-model cars, hence the name "stock car", but is now run using cars specifically built for racing. 2022 NASCAR Whelen Euro Series
The 2022 NASCAR Whelen Euro Series is the fourteenth Racecar Euro Series season, and the tenth under the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series branding. The season began on 14 May with the NASCAR GP Spain at Circuit Ricardo Tormo and ended on 30 October with the EuroNASCAR Finals at Automotodrom Grobnik. Alon Day became the first driver to be crowned champion for four times after he clinched the title in the final round at Rijeka. Day scored five race wins, the most of any driver in the EuroNASCAR PRO class. Swedish driver Alexander Graff finished second after scoring his maiden victory at Brands Hatch while Gianmarco Ercoli finished third after scoring three victories. NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour
The NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour (NWMT) (previously the NASCAR Winston Modified Tour and NASCAR Featherlite Modified Series from 1985 until 2005) is a modified stock car racing series owned and operated by NASCAR in the Modified Division. The Modified Division is NASCAR's oldest division, and is the only open-wheeled division that NASCAR sanctions. NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour events are mainly held in the northeastern United States, but the 2007 and 2008 tours expanded to the Midwest with the addition of a race in Mansfield, Ohio. The Sunrise Ford All-Star Showdown is a Super Late Model championship event at Irwindale Speedway, originally held from 2006-10 seasons as a non-championship NASCAR event for lower-level series, and since the 2020 motorsport season, revived by the circuit was a Super Late Model event for the SRL Southwest Tour. Lucas Lasserre (born March 9, 1978) is a French racing driver who competes in the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series. He is currently driving the No. 64 Ford Mustang as the owner-driver of SpeedHouse. Racing career Lasserre started racing karts in France and dominated Formula Renault and Spanish Formula Three before moving to sports cars and GT cars for Panoz in European Le Mans Series and Lamborghini Japan in Super GT.
