2022 NASCAR Whelen Euro Series
The 2022 NASCAR Whelen Euro Series is the fourteenth Racecar Euro Series season, and the tenth under the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series branding. The season began on 14 May with the NASCAR GP Spain at Circuit Ricardo Tormo and ended on 30 October with the EuroNASCAR Finals at Automotodrom Grobnik. Alon Day became the first driver to be crowned champion for four times after he clinched the title in the final round at Rijeka. Day scored five race wins, the most of any driver in the EuroNASCAR PRO class. Swedish driver Alexander Graff finished second after scoring his maiden victory at Brands Hatch while Gianmarco Ercoli finished third after scoring three victories. Circuit Ricardo Tormo
Circuit Ricardo Tormo, also known as ''Circuit de Valencia'' and officially named ''Circuit de la Comunitat Valenciana Ricardo Tormo'', is a motorsport race track located in Cheste (Valencian Community, Spain) and built in 1999. The track is named after Spanish, two-time world champion Grand Prix motorcycle racer Ricardo Tormo (1952–1998), who died in 1998 of leukemia. It has a capacity of 165,000 and a main straight of . Lucas Lasserre (born March 9, 1978) is a French racing driver who competes in the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series. He is currently driving the No. 64 Ford Mustang as the owner-driver of SpeedHouse. Racing career Lasserre started racing karts in France and dominated Formula Renault and Spanish Formula Three before moving to sports cars and GT cars for Panoz in European Le Mans Series and Lamborghini Japan in Super GT. Anthony Kumpen (born 3 November 1978) is a Belgian professional racing driver and team manager. Kumpen currently works as the team manager for PK Carsport in the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series.
