Adrian Năstase
Adrian Năstase (; born 22 June 1950) is a Romanian jurist, academic/professor, blogger, and former politician who served as the Prime Minister of Romania from October 2000 to December 2004. He competed in the 2004 presidential election as the Social Democratic Party (PSD) candidate, but was defeated by the centre-right Justice and Truth Alliance (DA) candidate Traian Băsescu who pertained at that time to the Democratic Party (PD). He was the President of the Chamber of Deputies from 21 December 2004 until 15 March 2006, when he resigned due to corruption charges. Sentenced to two years in prison in July 2012, he attempted suicide before beginning his term in the penitentiary. Released in March 2013, he was sentenced to four years in another case in January 2014, but released that August. Andrei Năstase (born 6 August 1975) is a Moldovan politician serving as Government of Moldova, Deputy Prime Minister and Ministry of Internal Affairs of Moldova, Minister of Internal Affairs from 8 June 2019 to 12 November 2019. HoraÈ›iu Năstase is a Romanian physicist and professor in the String Theory group at Instituto de FÃsica Teórica of the São Paulo State University in São Paulo, Brazil. He was born in Bucharest, Romania, and finished high school at the Nicolae Bălcescu High School (now Saint Sava National College). He did his undergraduate studies in the Physics Department of the University of Bucharest, graduating in 1995. His last year there he studied at the Niels Bohr Institute (NBI), Copenhagen University, with a scholarship which continued into the following year. He was ranked world No. 1 in singles from 23 August 1973 to 2 June 1974, and was the first man to hold the top position on the computerized ATP rankings. Năstase is one of the 10 players in history who have won over 100 total ATP titles, with 64 in singles and 45 in doubles.Năstase won seven major titles: two in singles, three in men's doubles and two in mixed doubles. Mihnea-Ion Năstase
Mihnea-Ion Năstase (born 7 February 1967) is a former professional tennis player from Romania. He is a nephew of two-time Grand Slam winner Ilie Năstase and his father, Constantin Năstase, was a Romanian Davis Cup representative. Career Năstase was born in Bucharest but grew up in Italy and went to college in the United States, where he played tennis for Mississippi State University. Partnering Leonardo Lavalle, Năstase was a winner in the boys' doubles event at the 1984 US Open. It was his second Grand Slam final, having finished runner-up to Mark Kratzmann and Simon Youl in the 1983 Wimbledon Championships, with Olli Rahnasto. In 1984, Năstase became the third member of his family to play for the Romanian Davis Cup team. Vasile Valentin Năstase (born 4 October 1974) is a former Romanian footballer who played as a defender, currently assistant coach at Liga II club Gloria Buzău. Viorel Năstase (born 7 October 1953) is a Romanian former professional footballer who played as a forward. Club career Viorel Năstase was born on 7 October 1953 in București, Romania and started to play football in the 1969–70 Divizia B season for Progresul București. In the following season he made his Divizia A debut on 7 October 1953 in a 2–1 away loss against Farul Constanța, having scored a total of 9 goals by the end of the season, being partner in the team's offence with Mircea Sandu.
