Valentin Năstase
Vasile Valentin Năstase (born 4 October 1974) is a former Romanian footballer who played as a defender, currently assistant coach at Liga II club Gloria Buzău. Career In 2002, he was signed by Venezia, but owner of Venezia, Maurizio Zamparini transferred most of the team players to his new owned club U.S. Città di Palermo. In 2004, Palermo exchanged Năstase to Bologna for Cristian Zaccardo. After a spell with Ascoli, Năstase returned to Romania in 2007, joining Dinamo Bucharest. However, he left the club after two months, having been made the scapegoat for the club's UEFA Champions League defeat against Lazio. In 2008, he joined the German Regionalliga Nord club Eintracht Braunschweig and on 30 June 2009 released. Liga II
The Liga 2, most often spelled as Liga II, is the second level of the Romanian football league system. The league changed its name from Divizia B just before the start of the 2006–07 Liga II, 2006–07. It is currently Sponsor (commercial), sponsored by Casa Pariurilor, a betting company with the official name Liga 2 Casa Pariurilor. Format Divisions Since its inception in 1934, Liga II had between 2 and 9 parallel divisions, with clubs divided based on geographic regions. Generally, Seria I included eastern teams while Seria II included western sides, although clubs near the center of the country are allowed to choose in which series they will compete. The 2007 Supercupa României was the 10th edition of Romania's season opener cup competition. The match was played in Bucharest at Stadionul Naţional on 25 July 2007, and was contested between Liga I title holders, FC Dinamo București and Cupa României champions, FC Rapid București. Supercupa României
The Supercupa României ( en, Romanian Supercup) is a Romanian football championship contested by the winners of the Liga I and the Cupa României. It is usually played at the Arena Națională in Bucharest. The competition started off in 1994, with the first edition being won by Steaua București. In 2010, for the first time in its history, the Supercup was held even though CFR Cluj had been victorious in both the league and the cup in the previous season. At that time, they faced Unirea Urziceni, the Liga I runners-up. The most successful performer so far has been FCSB with 6 wins, followed by Rapid București and CFR Cluj with 4 wins each up until 2021. The 2000–01 Cupa României was the 63rd edition of Romania's most prestigious football cup competition. The title was won by Dinamo București against Rocar București. Format The competition is an annual knockout tournament. First round proper matches are played on the ground of the lowest ranked team, then from the second round proper the matches are played on a neutral location. If a match is drawn after 90 minutes, the game goes into extra time, where it works golden goal rule. If the match is still tied, the result is decided by penalty kicks. Liga I
The Liga I (; ''First League''), also spelled as Liga 1, is a Romanian professional league for men's association football clubs. Currently sponsored by betting company Superbet, it is officially known as the SuperLiga. It is the country's top football competition, being contested by 16 clubs which take part in a promotion and relegation system with the Liga II. The teams play 30 matches each in the regular season, before entering the championship play-offs or the relegation play-outs according to their position in the regular table. The Liga I was established in 1909 and commenced play for the 1909–10 campaign, being currently on the 29th place in UEFA's league coefficient ranking list.
