Nõva, Lääne County
Nõva is a village in Lääne-Nigula Parish Lääne County, on the northwestern coast of Estonia. Counties ( et, maakond, plural ') are the first-level administrative subdivisions of Estonia. Estonian territory is composed of 15 counties, including 13 on the mainland and 2 on islands. The government (') of each county is led by a ' (governor) who represents the national government (') at the regional level. Lääne-Nigula Parish
Lääne-Nigula Parish ( et, Lääne-Nigula vald) is a rural municipality of Estonia, in Lääne County. It has a population of 7,041 (as of 1 January 2019) and an area of . Lääne-Nigula Parish was established by merging Oru, Risti and Taebla parishes after the municipal elections held on 20 October 2013. Nõva Parish
Nõva ( et, Nõva vald) was a rural municipality of Estonia, in Lääne County. It had a population of 465 (2008) and an area of 129.6 km². During the administrative reform of Estonian local governments in 2017, a new local government unit - called Lääne-Nigula parish - was formed through the merger of Nõva and other four rural municipalities. Neva River
The Neva (russian: Нева́, ) is a river in northwestern Russia flowing from Lake Ladoga through the western part of Leningrad Oblast (historical region of Ingria) to the Neva Bay of the Gulf of Finland. Friedrich Brandt
The Waterloo Soldier is the skeleton of a soldier who died during the Battle of Waterloo on 18 June 1815. The skeleton is kept at the Memorial of Waterloo 1815. The remains were discovered in 2012 during archaeological excavations carried out on the construction site of a new car park created at the approach of the bicentenary of the battle in June 2015. Ilmar Reepalu
Ilmar Reepalu (born 11 October 1943) is an Estonian-born Swedish Social Democrat politician who was the 17th chairman of the municipal board in Malmö from 1994 to 2013. After a professional life as an urban planner in Borås and Malmö, he became a municipal commissioner of Malmö in 1985. In opposition from 1985 to 1994, he then served as chairman of the municipal board – a position similar to that of mayor – from the 1994 election until his retirement on 1 July 2013. During his term as chairman of the municipal board, Reepalu was lauded as being instrumental in the transformation of Malmö from an industrial town in decline towards being a centre of knowledge and modern architecture.
