Nõva Parish
Nõva ( et, Nõva vald) was a rural municipality of Estonia, in Lääne County. It had a population of 465 (2008) and an area of 129.6 km². During the administrative reform of Estonian local governments in 2017, a new local government unit - called Lääne-Nigula parish - was formed through the merger of Nõva and other four rural municipalities. The center of Nõva parish was the village of Nõva, which is located 48 km from Haapsalu and 81 km from Tallinn. Municipalities Of Estonia
A municipality ( et, omavalitsus, plural ) is the smallest administrative subdivision of Estonia. Each municipality is a unit of self-government with its representative and executive bodies. The municipalities in Estonia cover the entire territory of the country. Tallinn () is the most populous and capital city of Estonia. On 7 December 2008 Estonian Wikipedian Andres Luure was one of fifteen individuals recognized for volunteerism in Estonia for 2008. Haapsalu
Haapsalu () is a seaside resort town located on the west coast of Estonia. It is the administrative centre of Lääne County, and on 1 January 2020 it had a population of 9,375. Description Haapsalu has been well known for centuries for its warm seawater, curative mud and peaceful atmosphere. Salt mud spas frequented by the Russian Romanov family still operate. Lääne-Nigula Parish ( et, Lääne-Nigula vald) is a rural municipality of Estonia, in Lääne County. It has a population of 7,041 (as of 1 January 2019) and an area of . Lääne-Nigula Parish was established by merging Oru, Risti and Taebla parishes after the municipal elections held on 20 October 2013. In 2017, the former municipalities Noarootsi, Nõva, Kullamaa and Martna were also merged into Lääne-Nigula. Politics There are 17 seats in the local government council.
