Nádine
Nádine Hoffeldt (born 28 February 1982) is a South African Afrikaans pop singer and presenter, best known for the hit song "Kaapse Draai". She has also recorded a number of songs in English. Life and career Nádine was born in Durban Starting her career as a teenager in 1996, she has released twelve albums and two DVDs. In 1997 she toured South Africa with Dutch singer Jan Smit, when her then manager Ian Bossert brought him to the country. She also performed at the "Two Nations" concert in 1997, along with the Spice Girls and Billy Ocean, for an audience that included Nelson Mandela and Prince Charles. Nádine released her seventh solo album, ''Mense soos jy'', in September 2005. Her ''Nádine 10 Years Live'' was nominated for Best DVD in the 2006 South African Music Awards (SAMA). Jan Smit (born 31 December 1985) is a Dutch singer, television host, and actor. Smit mostly sings songs in the Dutch language, in a genre known as ''Volendam music''. In addition to his solo career, in 2015 Smit joined the schlager trio KLUBBB3, and in 2017 The Toppers. As a TV presenter, he has worked on programs like the ''Beste Zangers'' (Best Singers in the Netherlands) and ''Sterren Muziekfeest op het Plein'' (Music Festival on the square.) The South African Music Awards (often simply the SAMAs) are the Recording Industry of South Africa's music industry awards, established in 1995. The ceremony is held annually, usually in late April or May, with the judging process starting in November of the previous year. The nominations are typically announced at the end of March. The winners receive a gold-plated statuette called a SAMA.
