Nuestra Belleza Nayarit
Mexicana Universal Nayarit, formerly called Nuestra Belleza Nayarit is a beauty pageant held in Nayarit, Mexico, that selects that state's representative for the national Mexicana Universal pageant. The state has produced two national winners of Mexicana Internacional (2016 and 2019). In 2000, the state was not represented at the national pageant. A beauty pageant is a competition that has traditionally focused on judging and ranking the physical attributes of the contestants. Pageants have now evolved to include inner beauty, with criteria covering judging of personality, intelligence, talent, character, and charitable involvement, through private interviews with judges and answers to public on-stage questions. The term beauty pageant refers originally to the Big Four international beauty pageants. Pageant titles are subdivided into Miss, Mrs. or Ms., and Teen – to clearly identify the difference between pageant divisions. Miss Earth México 2011, the tenth annual national beauty pageant of Miss Earth México, was held on September 17, 2011 in Quintana Roo, Municipality of Othon P. Blanco. Nuestra Belleza México 2010
The 17th annual Nuestra Belleza México pageant, was held at the Auditorio Parque Las Maravillas in Saltillo, Coahuila, Mexico on September 25, 2010. The State of Jalisco, won for the third consecutive year with Karin Ontiveros, who later competed in Miss Universe 2011 in Brazil. Ontiveros was crowned by outgoing Nuestra Belleza México titleholder and Miss Universe 2010 Ximena Navarrete. She was the fourth Jalisciense to win this Title. Bahía de Banderas (, Spanish for ''Bay of Flags'') is a bay on the Pacific Coast of Mexico, within the Mexican states of Jalisco and Nayarit. Miss International 2016, the 56th Miss International pageant, was held on October 27, 2016 at the Tokyo Dome City Hall in Tokyo, Japan.
